I feel like there's a decent chance CHI finds a team that wants Lauri and does a S&T.

Thad fits much better with Vuc and judging solely by comments made by other Bulls players Thad also seems to be taking a leadership role on that team.

Interesting responses here on the winner/value of the trade and different poster's perspectives.

I also feel like winners and losers is almost the wrong way to look at trades sometimes. The Bulls wanted to get better, they did. The Magic wanted assets to help with a rebuild, they got that.

In terms of who won I'm not sure what lens people are looking at it from. Are those suggesting the Magic won the trade suggesting that in 2 to 4 years they see the Magic having a better record than the Bulls?

As a Bulls fan I'm happy. Magic fans also seem happy.

I dont think the Bulls got better. I think there is little evidence they did or will. they added a guy who is an awful fit, further exposes their defense, and has been an empty stats guy who has proven not to raise a teams floor. they gave up multiple picks in a pretty clear overpay.

To me this is the worst trade in a long time. Maybe since the nets traded a lotto pick for a 3 momth rental of gerald wallace

If Vuc is getting "empty stats" then he got those same empty stats in his playoff appearances. Also the guys they traded for him weren't even capable of getting these empty stats during their time on a terrible team so we'll see.

Also, most draft picks suck and I feel like draft picks have jumped the shark in terms of value around here. Everyone reacts as if the Magic got two cost-controlled all-stars when they'll probably be getting some nobodies.

It's unfortunate the trade coinciding with Zach getting hurt as we haven't really been able to see them together or for the team to really gel. I'm anticipating the Bulls to make the playoffs post trade. Will consider it a disappointment if they do not.

Which playoff appearance? The one where the team went 33-40 and only made it by default because every other team was tanking? Or the only other time in his 10 year career when they were again just a .500 team? Yes his stats were empty those years too. he doesnt get a cookie because he played for the only bad team who wasnt actively tanking.

Half the players traded for Vuc aren't even in the NBA yet. When they are they will be cost controlled players with a ton of ceiling left.

Every star in the league was once a draft pick. there is no player i know of who was a walk on undrafted player who is a current star. "draft picks suck" is one a farce and 2 completely generalizing somethng that has different results for different situations. Picking in the lotto you are likely to get at worst low level starters/high level role players more often then not. and your chances at an all-star are exponentially higher in the lotto.

The one saving grace is Vuc probably makes the bulls worse and increases their odds their pick is top 4 and doesnt convey just yet

given 10 teams make the playoffs it would be hard not to. The bulls also likely ruined any chance at players coming to join them. as they know its a lost cost if their support cast is Vucevic. LAvine i can see bolting too, now that an extension is tougher

So glad that Vuc is someone else's problem now. He's been a torn in the side for a decade. He's Fool's Gold. I preached that on the Magic forum and was hated for it but it's true.

WCj had been fantastic! I blame Bulls coaching for mishandling him. He alone makes the trade good. Throw in the picks and it's highway robbery. WCj is so much easier to build around.
