id say its more like quarters and thats 8 quarters for a dollar. Thats even more than what Harden or George fetched for example.

George was an expiring contract. The Harden trade I think was all-time bad. I can see why people think it's bad for Memphis, but if it completes a championship caliber core for the long-term (and I think it does) then stack up all those late picks.

George played 2 years in LAC on his previous contract before signing a mega extension for 4 years w/ LAC. He wasn't an expiring

Ah, I thought he was. Even if it is more than George or anyone else fetched, I don't see why Boston would do it. They are trading a star and not getting one in return. I think something around Bane + Brooks + filler + a first or two makes a lot more sense for them, and is at least something Memphis would have to think about. This trade maybe works (the stack of picks) if Washington decides they'd move off Beal for a stack of 1sts.

What are the Pelicans doing with Josh Hart? Is he in the long-term plans or could he be had via trade?

He's probably available for a good offer. Ideally, think they'd like to package Hart with Satoransky's expiring, and whatever young players and picks needed to get a major talent upgrade, like Fox.

Since he's been all over the board thought I'd share a local Dallas report that Brunson wants 4/$80m. Which Dallas can't offer until the off-season.

And I'm just the messenger so if you think that's crazy okay. I'm just sharing the report.

Oh and for all the you can't do this to Embiid posters I hope you saw his endorsement of how Morey is handling it.

And if Det appears to be a viable threat to signing him, he likely gets it. It will be interesting to see between Sexton, Brunson, and now Simons who gets the biggest deal. Being a UFA makes me think that Dallas tries to get it done quickly since they kind of have a talent gun to their head.

The latter two seem unlikely, though LeVert more so
As someone who was willing to take Chuck's Powell+Burke offer before the season I'm just happy that the last one has become just "unlikely" and not "absolute insanity" :)

What does a 2027 Unprotected Lakers 1st, 2029 Unprotected Lakers 1st and $44 Million in expiring salary get the Lakers in the off-season?

I like Cleveland giving you your second back for Eric Gordon.

Didn’t want to do a new thread for yet another Simmons trade, but how about:

Gordon Hayward and Miles Bridges
For Ben Simmons.

I hope the NBA is watching for tampering, it's always suspicious when a player is on a contract and there are specific rumors about a roster move outside the season.

Also, it would be opt in and trade, right?

I am very done with the Jordan Clarkson experience. The new points of emphasis have made him so much less efficient, and he was just average - which was great for a volume scorer from the bench. Now we are ISOing a 40% shooter 6 times a game and it's so frustrating. Who wants him? Please take him, please.

His boxscore stats tonight against the Lakers are horrible.
