Not too surprising based on what I've heard from 2 places: that it would take a significant overpay for the Thunder to move him.

Expecting at least some teams calling and a bunch of rumors. Whether anything happens or not is another story.

Just a note, and maybe this is credible, but the guy is in Australia.

He's one of the WTLC writers, and he writes for a ton of publications. And the asking prices fit what I expect from Presti.

Again, it's rumor, but it rings true to me.

Ah, that's right, I do recognize the name. Still weird, but fits with the overpay. Though I don't get the feeling he's a guy the Spurs go after. Also the Knicks have nothing other than KP to offer.

For some reason I read Boston as New York.

The asking price does sound like what Presti would be going for, but I'm always wary on any reports that seem to be leaking from the OKC side unless it's Woj level. It's about as tight lipped a front office as you'll find and this guy doesn't seem to have reported much before.

That Boston deal makes sense if that's what Presti was asking for, and not what Ainge was offering.

I expect Ainge to start all his negotiations with a starting offer of James Young and a bag of chips.

Westbrook is an expiring so we better not be talking about a Family Size bag of chips.

Please stop giving this turds the attention they seek. It's just not worth it.

I'm referring to that wannabe newsbreaker a couple posts above mine. Pardon my french but I've had it with all these guys attention whoring by just trying to throw **** at the wall. We should just ignore it - everybody knows they don't know ****. It's just a waste of time.

Just because you may not agree with it doesn't mean it's equally as valid as any of the other not-Woj-or-Stein-or-beat-writers rumors in here.

I don't particularly want Westbrook to be traded, but it's not insane to think that they've received calls.

Come on man you can't honestly believe some guy from a WTLC - a fansite for crying out loud - has sources on this kind of stuff. That just ain't happening.

He's a freelancer who writes for several sports publications. I don't rule it out. It's not like he's some random fan.

Heck, I'm a random fan, and I've heard things cause I had a chat to Royce the other day at an event. And he doesn't know me from Adam. Jon Hamm is mostly a salary cap guy, though he's been branching out a bit, and he's talked with Presti.

Hard to say. The scenarios that cross my mind are:

1. MN may have decided they don't want to pay full market value for Dieng next year, so he and Muhammad could be moved now that Aldrich and Hill are there. Or maybe he just wants to move Bazz and/or Jones for guys that he thinks will play defense. Maybe move the two of them for another rotation wing and sign Captain Kirk to be your 3rd PG? We've been waiting for him to get a Bulls alum.

2A. He's made a decision that Andrew Wiggins is a 2 and consequently wants to make the roster work around that. That might mean LaVine goes for another 3. Maybe LaVine and Rubio for a star type player there.

2B.Or perhaps he's confident in his abilities as the "Point Guard Whisperer" and would like to take a crack at Zach as a PG again. A hyper-athletic 6'6" and 6'9" backcourt would be pretty **** hard to deal with. It's not difficult to understand why Flip and Smitch wanted it to happen. They just couldn't get it to work. Thibs may think he can do it. Rubio would then be used to find another stouter wing to start at 3.

3. He just wants to shuffle some dead weight (Payne, Pek) out and add a few more of his guys.
