grizzlies need capspace to renegotiate JJJ so they cant do this (unless they give up/renounce aldama)

With the East further weakened by injuries to Tatum and Lillard, .could the Heat make a jump and move into contention?

Ware/Wiggins/Robinson/Jovic+20 for KD/Royce(MLE)+29

Trade 2
Rozier+Jazquez to WIZARDS
Smart to BOSTON
Jrue to HEAT

Bam/Love
KD/Anderson
Royce/Highsmith

I thought they achieved that by getting rid of Smart's money.

This is pretty cap neutral for Memphis. Clarke/Konchar/GG for Cam saves Memphis $1.3m-ish, but then gives them 2 roster spots to backfill. Depending on how they do that, it could be very minimal cap addition.

they need to either dump clarke or renounce aldama to renegotiate JJJ at the max, i believe. I suspect they prefer keeping aldama over clarke.

Konchar and 3 vet mins would match Cam if Memphis wanted to explore that? Fill bench with vet mins, pay Aldama and maybe can stay under tax?

is there a small rookie contract guy worth a first that a team would give Denver for their distant 1st. Needs to make under $5.4M and ideally has at least two years left and can help now.

Or who is the best player who makes less than Nnaji with the same incentive? Struggling with both.

But trying to see if Denver can add a piece without moving Porter which is more complicated.

Konchar ? griz also have 47/58 , could work with a 3rd team pretty easy i'd think

DEN - Konchar /Huff , 47,58
MEM - zeke/saric
3rd team - Zeke/saric ,DEN 1st

looks pretty close to me with some extra fillers / picks invovled to smooth it out. i just dont see the griz placing much value on a far off den pick but idk

The problem is we are going to have to dump Konchar entirely already to pay JJJ as well as one of Clarke or Aldama. We cannot do a cap neutral trade with him. But if we let Aldama walk, and dump Konchar, then resign JJJ to almost max he can get. Maybe use room exception. Then we could do something like Clarke/GG Jackson/Huff as enough salary for Cam J. I am not a big fan so I would be against the trade since I don't think he can be full time SF and is a bad rebounding PF when we go smaller with JJJ at center.

I'm generally against teams spending picks to move on from bad deals, especially one as small as this, but if the Nuggets think it's their best only path to any improvement of their roster...

Admittedly I'm not the kid's biggest fan, but Keyonte George scored 16.8 ppg while dishing 5.6 assists in 2024-25. Two years remaining on his rookie deal at $4.4MM & $6.6MM. For the pick the Jazz should be willing to forego using their NTMLE on sometone productive to eat Nnaji's $23MM in virtually dead money.

Is there anyway that we see Lillard being traded back to Portland?

I think they could use him when he's back. His injury means they can tank one more season.

So you don't think we are going to renegotiate and extend JJJ? Right now we are way short of the needed money to do so but already started down that path with the Smart trade, I doubt we have changed our minds now.

LaVine/JV

for

Bridges/Green/Nurkic

requires what incentive to the Kings if any? Hornets want to be more competitive. This gives them a scorer/shooter next to Ball in the backcourt that lets their draft pick have a couple years to ramp up if needed. JV gives them a competent center to pair with Williams. Kings save money next year and just hope this mix fits better.
