Nah, but I may have health complications from the uncontrollable laughter episode I'll have.

If the Raptors trade for Kristaps Porzingis, I'm good on this team for a little while. Getting a rival team out of a financial bind by taking on their oft-injured big who has a mysterious respiratory illness and, by the way, was credibly accused of sexual assault is just too much.

I could see the Celtics rerouting Simmons for a player on a multi year deal that makes less per year. What are the teams interested out there?

Dallas was rumored with Simons.

No ides what a fair offer looks like but just saying Dallas is desperate?

Could be PJ/Klay based with Boston either getting PJ and paying to dump Klay, or getting Klay and getting PJ’s value from the third team.

But I would hope Dallas starts by offering Hardy, Klay, Naji, 2nds..

Yeah, but tomorrow I'm going to be busy spamming trades where my team gets the best 3 players in the NBA for future picks

my bad Jrue flip:

Rozier
Jaquez Jr

for

Jrue

Jrue is such a Miami Heat player who pairs perfectly with Herro. Blazers end up getting value for Simons in the form of a young backup to their promising forward duo.

Celtics are still operating over the second Apron so can’t take back more Salary. So yeah a third team needed.

Yeah, just don’t know if they’d rather add a bit to dump Klay and keep the good fill in player or get extra value and keep Klay and trade PJ.

But definitely need a third team either way.

I agree with 3

When your best player isn't even a sub-all-star and is Cam Johnson or Coby White, you need to be in asset accumulation mode.

Milwaukee isn't going anywhere and should do best for Giannis by sending him to a real contender.

Sacramento and Dallas should re-tool around their best players. Dallas adding guard depth and Sacramento exchanging Monk/DDR for wing/defensive versatility.

Fischer reporting Spurs have had some exploratory talks with Boston about KP. Barnes + Branham for KP works and would save them some good money and both players are expiring. Would love to have KP as Vic's backup and playing next to him in certain matchups

KP won't be happy to be a backup in a contract year.

Perhaps not. But he is extremely injury prone, has some kind of mysterious illness going on, and is about to be on the wrong side of 30. Spurs may offer him a solid deal regardless to retain him.

Then again maybe they want to start him next to Victor. There aren't many Cs that I think you can pair next to Vic but KP might be one of them.

Now that Jrue has been trade for significant saving in future years….i think the Celtics would be looking less for expiring deals and more for guys that save a little salary in 2025/26, but can also help long term.
Barnes and Branham wouldn’t interest me at all. Not sure if that’s something the Celtics would entertain.

Guess it depends on what BOS is looking for. I don't think anyone is going to pay much for KP at this point though

Agree

For Brooklyn, another factor is that they need to spend another $80M+ just to get to the salary floor. That can be surprisingly tough to do without taking on negative value contracts in an off-season that has a shortage of good FAs

One thing you can never convince me of is that its hard to hit the salary floor without taking on bad contracts. I just fundamentally disagree with it. I don't think the Nets should avoid trading Claxton or Johnson for fear of it. I don't think they should pay Cam Thomas something stupid to get to it.

Draft 3 or 4 guys and they still have a bunch of empty roster spots. Won't be hard at all to sign a number of MLE worthy guys to deals just over the MLE for one year. Plus there will be teams looking to move out decent salary to duck aprons, make trades between two apron teams possible. Or you can take on bad one year money with incentive, then cut that guy to open up a roster spot to hand out a new contract.
