I think Horford has already agreed to Golden State they just may do another move first.

Maxi and Gabe for KCP... Book it, free up roster spot and I think saves some $$$, not a fan of KCP, but opens a roster spot/Horford?? Go Lakers!

Reed Sheppard and a PHX 2027 1st for Austin Reaves is fair value, right? Given the Lakers wanting to keep financial flexibility for the summer of 2027, it gives them a massive trade piece to use to help their cause from now until then. With the Rockets you fill a need of an additional creator, scorer, and backup PG.

Have not seen anything to show that Reed is a massive trade piece or ready to help this season

Hard to gauge value. Reaves contract (realistically he might be getting more than current possible extension)and his on court value makes it hard to properly value him in trade.

Re: Rumors, Random Thoughts, and Non-threadworthy Posts The 19th Hole
So many of you may have noticed that I was making a lot of the Shams threads breaking news on trades and signings in free agency.
I never typically do that but I wanted to do it this year because one of the posters who used to do it on here passed away around the start of this year. Bondom34 was a mod and longtime good poster on these boards, sadly never got to see OKC win a championship.
Anyway, I felt like people may not have noticed his passing. When we don't see longtime posters on here we might simply think they moved on with life. But some are dedicated here to the end.
I just wanted to post this to let people know. But also to acknowledge that we are all real people that show up to post on these boards and I thank you for chatting about basketball with me to a degree that would make no sense to 99% of the people that know me in life.

Thanks for sharing Zimp, bondom was a great poster and always so positive with solid insight. So sorry to hear of his passing. Prayers are with his family. Hope they can experience God's peace and comfort.

Wow, that is sad news! I thought he was a young guy, so I’m surprised to hear of his passing. Condolences to his family and hope he rests in peace.

I think the pick is more valuable than Reaves, but directionally the deal is wrong for LA since they are also trying to compete. Maybe a third team can be looped in, but hard to find a perfect match because Reaves' salary is pretty low.

Does the city of Dallas have the worst GM in both football and basketball? At least bottom 3 right?

How bad are you expecting the Suns to be? Top 5 pick bad?

Clear worst teams
Utah
Brooklyn
Next layer
Washington
Sacramento
New Orleans
Next layer
Charlotte
Phoenix
Chicago
And then there are a lot of teams where I think things are circumstantial with injuries, etc. I think they finish as one of the 10 worst teams [gun to my head I would say 8th, assuming that someone like Philly, Memphis, Boston, or Indiana really plummets with injuries), possibly one of the 5 worst. The top of this draft looks pretty loaded, we've been watching them for years. The US had, IMO, possibly the best U16 and U19 teams ever with these players.

Okogie to Houston on the minimum. I mean, good 13th/14th guy but did we really need yet another wing that can't dribble/shoot? Feel like we have that covered even if there's injuries yet they have 3.5 guards

If you think they top 5 bad i can see the logic. I was more on the 8 to 12 range.
In last 5 drafts or so , only like 3 4 guys in the 8 to 15 That are worth something.
