Dwight took the minimum too. LAL had to have pulled the offer, nothing else makes sense

Dwight signing to a team with Joel Embiid shows how much he has grown. A year ago we all thought he’d never accept what he is now. And I think he’s too good to be Joel’s backup, but impressed he accepted his role so much.

Really great signing for Philly IMO. Strong enough to cover each other’s rest days.

(I understand I’m one of one that has really liked Phillys entire offseason so far)

DMC to LAL then? Another shot on him?

Yeah, given Blazers offseason money available and payroll its likely whether we paid him 6 or 10mil it does not matter much. Also he signed for cheap initially and there's always been the thought there was a wink/nod on his next deal.

Our starting center is our best player, not 2nd best.

People need to pump the brakes on Mitchell a bit. A few high scoring games in the playoffs doesn't even come close to surpassing what Gobert has done for years now.

As for Favors, he will play some at the 4 as well as back up center, and it's not like Utah was going to attract a better player in FA with the money they payed Favors.

Derrick is home where he belongs and Utah missed him a great deal last year.

Lakers might have told him they had another big who might come and his role may not be the same. Maybe he just didnt want to take the chance that he might become a 10 min player who gets some DNP-CD.

I was expecting something in the 3/$36M range. I have to wonder if the Knicks pushed up the offer, since there is no way Beasley should have gotten that deal if the Wolves were bidding against themselves.

Same. Trade for a better guard, draft a better guard, pay big for him...

Don’t think it’ll ever be an awful contract, legal pending, but think they crossed over maintaining the asset by about 3 mil per year..

And he better hope Atlanta agrees. Is NYK the only other team that can offer that aside from SAC? Maybe they pivot to him if FVV resigns in Toronto.
