So late January at the earliest before being back on a court to prepare to play again. If not a lost season, then very close to it.

Interesting they couldn't trade him at all. I would have thought they might could have traded him for just a slightly cheaper player to cut maybe. But Matthews has been good and a Hinkie special is fantastic for the Rockets.
But you had been telling us this was a possibility so good on ya.

Yeah. I like House, unlike most rockets fans, so it sucks to say but he just can't find a groove since getting kicked out of the bubble and can't seem to stay healthy either. Maybe they could have done that but wanted to give House the freedom to choose his spot over the $1M in savings or whateverTexas Chuck wrote:Interesting they couldn't trade him at all. Moving Jordan Clarkson is pretty much impossible right? I mean in a way that makes sense for Utah. They don't really have much incentive to give. Closest I could get was Clarkson/3 2nds for Kemba but I don't think the Knicks take on that 3rd year so cheap.
Just crazy to look how good Utah is offensively and how bad Clarkson has been. Everyone else in the top 9 has an ortg of 114 or higher(mostly a lot higher). His is 106. Everyone but Mitchell and Gay has a TS% well over 60% and both of those guys are above league average. Clarkson at 51%. And we know he's a negative defensively.
Sure would love to find a way for Utah to eliminate this weakness. Because a team without a top 5 player always faces a tough challenge to win titles, but having no deadweight would sure help.

If IT doesn’t work out (he kept LA afloat for portions of the game last night) what needs to be added to Kemba in a Kemba for THT trade?
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

Is there a world where LAL misses the playoffs or doesn’t make it out of the play-in and Cleveland makes an offer for Bron to pair him with Frobley and Garland? It’d be a pretty dope way to end his career.

Two way players get paid minimum salary for games played in the NBA right? This is now essentially just two extra minimum spots with an experience limit. Don't remember if two ways can play in the playoffs or not now thobondom34 wrote:

I couldn't see the Lakers agreeing to anything that the Cavs would agree to. I mean, would the Cavs offer more than Love + Rubio (or Osman) + a first and their two early 2nds?
If Lebron comes back to CLE, it's probably after his contract expires, likely at MLE money to chase a last championship.

My favorite emergency signing by far. I think he's got a shot at sticking on the Mavs after his 10 day is up.

I think they increase the salary for two way players as well and for now two way can’t play in the playoffs but nearer to the date they will probably revisit that if players are still going be in protocol.

Jalen Green is coming back, KPJ is expected to be back within a couple of games, going to be an incredible crunch on minutes in the backcourt with Matthews in the lineup, with KJ working his way into the rotation. Good time for an EG deal

Who has more trade value? Myles Turner or Pascal Siakam?

Probably Turner.
The combination of easy fit and lower salary make a trade far easier. I don't hate Siakam but he's not quite a max guy getting paid max money, which both decreases his value and makes any deal much, much harder.

Okay after seeing a few games of this I'm all the way out on him. Just has no idea what he is doing defensively and is an absolute foul machine. Dwight Powell even is just light years ahead of this guy.
Now I have no idea what is going on with WCS who has been away from the team for a long time now so if that situation isn't going to be resolved I guess he has a chance as he was the biggest player Dallas brought in, but it just shows you why these guys weren't in the league already--they aren't NBA caliber players.

He's definitely a physical player, and if he hasn't had time to practice with the team, I can see it. But he was good physical while coming off the Cavs bench a couple years ago. Picked up a couple fouls, and I was never under the illusion that he could play 36 minutes, but I definitely didn't think he was worse than a guy like Theis.

I don't think we are feeling any need to move him. I fully expect him to find his groove at some point this season. Recently he has been distributing a lot more, and if this forces some development in his game that at least is good. If he does return to form, I'd hate to see what our offense becomes. I'm very out on Kemba, even with the recent good games.
