The Lakers salary dumping Rondo as the biggest post December 15th trade was unclaimed in my office pool btw.

May not be trade related but something is up with Wood. Was not on the injury report but when the starting lineup were announced he was not in it. He wasn't out there warming up pre game until right before tip, came off the bench for a brief stint in the first half then did not play again. Still no word as to why
Edit: to add, Sengun is hurt, so he came off the bench for Thies

Wood might be trying to get out

Maybe they are having some serious trade talks and don't need him to get injured.

Yikes.

Tanking properly and keeping up the culture is more difficult than folks make it out to be sometimes.

I don't think KPJ had any but yeah.

Sad for KPJ. For him it's more of a young guy with some mental health battles.

Wood is just a dummy who's been pouting on and off all year and I have no sympathy for in this

Wood missed his covid test and that's the reason he came off the bench, team rule apperantly. Why he didn't want to check in the 2nd half was clearly about what happened at half time

Ya in a way we lucked out having tampa/covid as a ready made excuse with players leftover from a championship team to keep culture

KPJ reminds be of Glen Rice JR. Ultra talented but a bone head to the highest order. He's going to attitude his way out of the league. I don't know if it's mental health issues or he's just a self entitled hot headed ass whole. Shame. There is a reason wood hasn't stuck on a team he's a bone head. I wouldn't be shocked to see Boston, Chicago, or another team like that make a move for him. Or a bad vet lead team struggling to be in the play offs. Like the Lakers or NO.

On hindsight it was really valuable experience for SGA to spend a year with paul and play in the playoffs first before the rebuild.

Remember, NOP was the team that cut him straight up, before he caught on with Detroit. Pelicans and Griffin got a lot of criticism for "just letting such a talent go for nothing." They've prioritized team-first, high character guys since Griff started. Reminder of underlying reasons for some moves that don't show on the surface when judged, and just how important character & chemistry are to team building.

Based on the string of 'poor choices' made in CLE i leaned toward self entitled hot headed ****, but at some point continuing that behavior is a mental health issue.

for the record I'm against this still, but the tea leaves in Dallas suggest Chriss will be a Maverick past the hardship period. WCS is the obvious cut since he's been gone from the team for a long time now, but Dallas may value his salary ballast? If true I guess some other team can talk themselves into the next Artis Gilmore.

But I really don't see the point of Dwight Powell and long haired Dwight Powell.

Yeah that was really helpful, CP3 is still an amazing mentor, and no doubt he gave SGA another gear. But an underrated aspect of what OKC has been doing is facilitating trades for veterans they acquire to places they want to go, and ensuring they don't get disgruntled. CP3 wanted to go to PHX, Horford wanted to go back to Boston, Adams wanted to play for a better team. They didn't let any of that linger too long. Muscala is the only guy they've really kept around, and he made it known that he wanted to stay. They ultimately will need more vets, hopefully they can thread the needle on that going forward. Pretty stark contrast from the Wall situation, though Houston may be limited by his market in a way OKC really wasn't.

They also bought out Kemba and did right by him too. Really surprised Houston didnt buy out Wall and let him sign for tax MLE or something and save some money. just an ugly situation there round and round
