Jokic has strong ties to International Powerhouse Indianapolis, Indiana.

You laugh but Indianapolis is the closest franchise to Churchill downs (like a 2 hour drive)

Wait, how is Ty Lawson still on the books?

Until a team dips into cap space their unsigned free agents (who have not signed with another team) remain as cap holds.

It's always fun to go on Spotrac and see random players who have not been on the team for years still count as a cap hold. As an example - Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Jared Dudley, Avery Bradley & Dion Waiters are still technically cap holds for the Lakers.

Stein tweeting Atlanta is emerging as a serious KP suitor.

I don't hate it if KP returns to form.

OKC have Denver picks and OKC knock out Jokic’s team this last playoffs.

Not saying it’s likely but not saying it’s unlikely either .

Edit - that tweet is just showing Denver as an ownership is unlikely to go deep into the tax .

So the Nets now have 5 1sts in this draft. They have to be doing something, right? 2nd lottery pick?

If there is a lesson for this board from the early off-season trades -- teams value good basketball players more than they fear "bad contract". We demonize so many players that teams actively seek out for their teams. If a player can help on the court, they aren't as toxic as the posts here constantly suggest.

OKC generic idea.

What value gap is there in a 3 way trade involving OKC . 4 way if Joe is sent elsewhere for lower contract.

OKC in : look at my options
OKC out : Joe / Dieng

Options :
Choice 1 : Indiana sends out Toppin , assuming take Joe if not we reroute him elsewhere for lesser salary incoming for Indiana.
Choice 2 : Boston sends out Hauser , assuming take Joe if not we reroute him elsewhere for lesser salary incoming for Boston .

3rd team in : Dieng / 2nd ( OKC pays)
3rd team out : some random draft rights

Smart guy this one

I would nitpick and he called it a backup plan not a pre draft move

I don't feel good about the source, but hearing a report about Jrue not wanting to be in Portland. Anybody know if anyone credible has this?

Love this thread for recklessly speculating on stuff.
