He didn't mention you by name though I see where he is lumping you in. I did go check your posts and they are very anti-Kemba, but the post with the most relevance appears to be one from March where you say that Al Horford is 10x the player Kemba Walker is.
So you are definitely not guilty of changing your position after the trade. Not sure why you got defensive knowing this wasn't you, but did want to confirm for everyone your position has been consistent for a long time.
His post came what......3 posts after mine? Dude knew exactly what he was doing
Going to interrupt -- if you go through the thread you can probably find who he was actually referring to.
I think you can pound your chest for being the correct one.
Overall, this seems like a nice deal for both teams. Hope Kemba looks healthy. Hope Horford provides solid minutes and C's can look forward to the next available point guard.
If the C's grab a PG via trade/free agency, then great. But if not, (as a C's fan) I'm totally fine going into next season with Smart starting at the 1 (he was the C's best passer this past season and played the 1 quite a bit this season) with Pritchard and Yam Madar battling for backup PG minutes.
Madar could turn out to be a special player..
IMO the next few moves for the Celtics should be:
1) Hire a head coach
2) trade Tristan Thompson
3) resign Fournier (or possibly do sign and trade move with him, see no. 6 below)
4) Grab the steal of the draft with 45th pick
5) see if anyone will be willing to take Grant Williams/Carsen Edwards/Jabari Parker in a trade
6) Possibly package up some combination of Robert Williams/Smart/Nesmith/Langford/Pritchard/Fournier/1st round picks in exchange for a 3rd star to go along with Tatum & Brown
