The problem is Lonzo Ball is going to cost $18-20MM (RFA which has overpayment risk) the next two years. If you eat one of Bledsoe/Adams, you are essentially paying Lonzo Ball $40MM per year.
If it was eat 1 year, plus a partial guarantee for Bledsoe, in exchange for a rookie with 4 years of cost control it's a different story.

Could be a deal quite similar to the Russell and Mozgov for Lopez type deal that happened between the Lakers and Nets a couple of years ago

But Lonzo is looking at a big raise. The sweetener guy in this case would be NAW, Hayes, or an unprotected pick from the Lakers or Bucks depending on who's taking on the freight.

I'd take on Adams to get Ball for Dallas.

I'd do the same for OKC unfortunately we can't

Don't know if Toronto bites but they would effectively have:
FVV, KCP, OG, Siakam, Baynes
Schroeder, TD2, THT, Boucher, Harrell

The Adams talk is likely out of thin air.
He was just extended this offseason, making his trade, while not impossible, much more difficult.

Maybe not but Lowry and Powell are the most logical additions the Lakers are chasing.
I tend to agree that it's not enough but it really depends on the other offers

Unless the Lakers can really pull something out of their backsides (or the Raps have more interest in trying to screw the Clippers than getting GM fair value?) I don’t think LA will be able to keep up with the Philly and Miami offers

Collins Says He Wants to Stay in ATL

This might be just lip service and Collins might just be saying this to be a Company Man, but these quotes actually sound real, authentic and genuine.
He genuinely sounds like he wants to stay in Atlanta and be loyal to the team that drafted him. It's rare these days in the NBA.
As much as I think he'd be a great fit on the Celtics, I think you respect what this guy is saying and just let him stay in Atlanta - at least for now..

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Good info, I just moved it into the General Discussion thread. Quoting you so you don't just think it disappeared

Lakers are hard capped at the apron for their MLE signing or Harrell, and only $1.5m away from it. KCP, Harrell, and Schroeder combine to make $37.3m, and Lowry/Powell make almost $41.4m. LA would have to send out at least $40m. So, say they send out another $3m to meet that gap, now they won’t have enough space under the hard cap to fill the extra two roster spots they just opened up below the minimum. It gets tricky making it work.
But also, it hides the fact that Toronto would simply be giving up their chance at value and just taking whatever to simply help LA.

THT would be added I imagine for value and Matthews/Kuzma could sort out the financials.
It really just depends on what these other proposals from Miami and Philly are. I think this Lakers offer beats the Philly offer I've heard (Green, Scott, Thybulle). Do you know what Heat are likely offering? sounds like they don't want to offer Herro.

If KCP is moved to Toronto in a Lowry deal, I could see him rerouted to Brooklyn for Dinwiddie.

It also depends on what Schroeder/Harrell/KCP (although could make the argument that KCP fits in Toronto with FVV and OG as a Powell replacement on a reasonable deal). I don't think I see a league landscape where there is a 1std pick + expiring for Schroder, same with Harrell - although turning those 2 into draft capital to combine with KCP could be the best offer available if Miami keeps Herro out of the deal
And from the Lakers perspective, Lowry is an ideal 3rd star to play with Lebron/AD. Can play off the ball as a spot up shooter or be a secondary playmaker/defender in addition to being a great defender. It's too bad they need to move KCP to pull this off, because Lowry/KCP would be an excellent backcourt pairing.
