Re: Free Agency, Rumors, Thoughts in General 2.0
I originally thought the domino move was going to be Lowry, but really there's only 3 teams in on him. The domino looks like Aaron Gordon, it seems like he's the prize of the deadline and a lot of teams have offers out there. The crappy part for trade fans with that being the domino is it's Orlando and Orlando wants to keep this core together forever even still kind of I'm betting so they are really slow playing it. I hope they rip that band-aid off soon and leave way for everything that will follow in reaction.

They have cap space. About 15 million if I am not mistaken. Much easier for them to grab him in a trade. Its pretty much a given that if bought out he is headed to the Lakers or some other contender.
Only reason this would make sense for the Knicks, IMO, would be using cap space in a buyout to create a trade asset for the offseason.
Or this is being leaked by the Cavs to see if a team like Dallas will step up their offer.

I say:
Lowry to Lakers
Ball to Philly
I'm thinking Aaron Gordon is going to be Denver, but I could see Boston, Orlando and Houston working some kind of Oladipo + Boston incentive/pick(s) to Orlando / Gordon to Boston / TPE to Houston deal.
Tristan Thompson and Romeo Langford to Houston
Victor Oladipo, Aaron Nesmith and Top 20 Protected 2021 Boston Celtics First Round Draft Pick (becomes two seconds if not conveyed) to Orlando
Evan Fournier and Aaron Gordon to Boston
???
Lowry to Lakers

Why would the Magic trade for Oladipo in a trade that is jettisoning 2 of the 3 best players?

Still don't know how much to trust HP as a source, lean towards "its bs" but ?s=19
In regards to Oladipo
"The Bulls are actively involved in the market, multiple sources suggest, with Lauri Markkanen said to be involved."

If your management turned down two firsts from Portland only to end up with Harris... Oooof. That is painful.

Re: Free Agency, Rumors, Thoughts in General 2.0
Kings have picks to spare and they were probably going to cut Joseph after this season. They don't care about the Lakers pick even though it'll probably be closer to 50 than 57. A small price to pay for an upgrade at backup PG, but you wonder why they're even buying.
Detroit needs seconds like a wheat farmer needs rain, and they got them for someone the Mavs gave them for free. I give both teams a B/B+.

I never understand any of the moves the Kings make.
Also doesn't this mean Richaun Holmes is not coming back next season? They dotn have enough cap-space

You gotta figure one of the following things is true:
a) They're going to trade him too
b) They're going to trade someone else (Hield, Barnes, Bagley) to create enough space to sign him
c) Their number for what he's worth (and what they'd resign him for) is right around what they can offer via early Bird rights
