I don't see how you see nothing. Or what rigging has to do with any of this. A man as big and strong as Draymond throwing an unexpected punch to the face and then what looks like possibly kneeing him after he's down and against a wall. There is no way to soft peddle this, though I see on the GB thread the usual fake tough guys are doing their utmost.

The rigging was about the lottery, gom is addressing two topics. I disagree on the first, you can't just punch a coworker without repercussions. The NBA should at least suspend him for a game or two.

I always found it weird punching a fan is treated differently/much more harshly than punching another player

Because of Malice at the Palace

If Arena Security has to worry about 20,000 v 30 fights, they just can't get enough staff -- or the NBA would have to give up those ridiculously expensive (and profitable!) floor seats

The Warriors are playing this out just like everyone else in society.

If someone gets caught doing something bad, the message is that everybody else does it, boys will be boys, then go after the guy that revealed the action, not the person who actually did it.

Portis got 8 games for his fight against Mitotic, in which some said he was defending himself.

Griffin got four for a staff member

Draymond should get something based on precedence, and I feel like GSW should get ahead of it and do it earlier in the year rather than later.

I think GS is going to be defiant about any kind of prolonged suspension for Dray.

Been a lot of talk about aggressive tanking after Victor's performance this week. Do you think teams will just sit players for extended periods of time with minor injuries or will we see some fire sales where teams are just looking to clear talent off their roster(s) at any cost?

If the latter - what teams do you see trading away decent talent? I feel like young teams like the Magic or Detroit aren't going to be trading away any young pieces, though I could be wrong? Will be a tricky balance.

I didn't say nothing. I said "not much." I feel these kinds of disputes should be handled by the coaching staff and not become part of the media frenzy. I've seen Draymond Greene compliment Jordan Poole's work ethic and defend him against his other coworkers bitching. This was a misstep, but for the good of the club, they should work it out themselves and not make it public.

I don't know if there is a big point to aggressive tanking with the NBA's current lottery system.

You should really only tank if there is a strong top 5, not just a top 2 as you could easily ruin a year for nothing. I think once we see the rest of the prospects we will have a better idea on tanking.

I mean, if you have a chance to get Lebron on a rookie contract… every damn ping pong ball is important…. We going to be talking about reforming lottery system in January

All the tanking talk bothers me a lot more than Draymond Greene and Jordan Poole fighting. I can't understand the idea of going a season strategically trying not to win. It would greatly dishearten me.

I realize that Charlotte has been anti tanking, but they don't appear to have many players with high upside beyond Ball. For now, I didn't include Bridges.

Hayward.....32
Plumlee......32
Rozier.........28
Cody Martin..27
Oubre.........26

I understand the rationalization. I just don't agree that it's good for the sport, the players, or the fans.

Think it goes both ways. I rather be a fan of a team contending or tanking entertainment wise. Draft or post season exciting times. Being a fan of a middle of the road team is kinda meh.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Crazy that if another Warriors staff member punched another staff member they would lose their job. A player does it to another player? Crickets.

Personally I see the whole draymond/poole incident an ineternal gsw thing and gsw should be allowed to handle it. I dont see why NBA should get involved at all. In competive trainings things sometimes get a bit out of hand, but thats up to the staff and the franchise to handle internally.

Thats my opinion atleast. Not sure why people that isnt from the franchise is allowed to even record from trainings at all

I will say that Conley looks really good in preseason, clearly our best player. I wouldn't be surprised if partway through the season a team is willing to take him, and maybe even give a small amount of value (e.g. 2 2nds). Walker Kessler is also definitely an NBA player. Not a special one, but I think he's going to be really solid.

How is Kessler’s speed? The biggest concerns on draft night were that he would struggle to keep up with the quicker bigs in the NBA. Honestly, I wish I could see more Jazz games just to watch how he and Vando do for you guys.

He's is slow but I don't think it's going to mean he is not an NBA player. I think he is likely an excellent backup or a serviceable but unspectacular starter at some point soon. We are playing Vando at small forward with Lauri and Kelly in the fromtcourt, so we love him, he's so versatile defensively.
