I believe the point was that nobody has to sign up in order to participate. You just post your ideas for revamping a team as you please and the judges pick the 4 best for the entire board to vote on.

Well, I was hoping for something with more like 20 or so entries instead of 8, although at this pace I'm thinking both were ambitious.

Right now the people that have expressed an interest in entering are:
Keeslinator
vincecarter4pres
Jersey Generals
Warriorfan

So I can happily make it a close tourney and have you all( and maybe 2) more pm me entries if people prefer it.

Personally, I thought getting a wide range of entries would be nice, especially given the topic. After all, I feel like there are an abundance of trades where people want to:

Break up Miami's big 3,
Rebuild those pesky 7-10th seeds even though management doesn't want to (indy, Milwaukee, Philly, etc, etc)
Take mega-stars and swap teams, or trade then for rebuilding assets
Do just about anything to the Nets (other then sitting on cap space)
Revamp the Lakers entirely
Go all in on some of those young teams...
Etc...

So, if anyone wants, please, just go right ahead and come up with a nice new start scenario and post it. If not, Spree wins for redoing Jackie Chan

Anything your heart desires. You could keep all but 1 and meet the parameters; Kobe or Howard going would look a pretty big new start for either.

The NBA trade machine being down is a real problem. The Trade Checker doesn't show how much the trade is off by, so I'm forced to do it all manually, which is a real time consumer that I may have to just enter one trade, rather than the multi-team trades that I originally wanted.

I agree. I think this contest needs to be pushed back a week till the Trade Machine is up and running again. Im sure you would also have more people entering this little shin-dig if you did.
