I picked Biyombo to be Charlottes next Adam Morrison. A complete and utter bust.

I thought he would be all athleticism, no brains and no skill.

Happy to be wrong on that one.

I was also convinced that we would get a 1st round pick for Dj Augustin

Wait, what? The part about going for the playoffs this year is true. The rest doesn't seem right at all. I thought GS fans had been telling everyone that we were holding out for a center if we were trading Monta. And we nailed that. Turns out we couldn't get a good one unless we passed on a playoff run this season.

Bogut was the top trade target on my list since last season.

Anyway, I think the point of the thread is to eat your own crow, not to ask others to do so.

Yea it's about eating you oun crow, but some people (cough cough Trader Joe cough cough) make you want to put people on front street. But TJ is a good guy, I like him & he is a Nets fan.

+1. Now that Monta has actually been traded what about the posters who claimed Ellis was basically worthless such as the post shown below:
tbg wrote: Golden State fans don't want to hear this, but I really don't think Monta has the kind of value they seem to think he does. His raw stats are good, but they're terribly inflated by the system he plays in and the amount of minutes he gets. He's not efficient and not nearly the caliber of player that his raw stat line suggests. Other teams know that and they're not going to give up top notch talent to acquire him. Won't happen. Mark my words, when/if Monta is actually traded, the package Golden State gets in return won't be worth a whole lot more than Conley, Bass, Rudy (the suggested alternative deal here). In fact, it might well be worth less.

Wait what?!
What did I do?

Meanwhile.. I have a whole prediction thread to bump up at the end of the season (granted it was made in response to post your outlandish predictions). Can't wait either!

Dude, you of all people do not want to start a war of digging up old posts that turned out wrong.

Floppymoose is right: the point of the thread is to admit when YOU were wrong. Could we get back to that please?

Cleveland didn't. They got a pick swap with a value pretty close to a late 1st.

I thought Nene was a fantastic signing at that number. Apparently the Nuggets were running for the exits day 2.

I'm eating crow saying that we werent gonna trade McGee (however I did say that before his comments the other day about wanting $14 mil a year).... and I'm also eating crow saying we werent interested in veterans with huge contracts(Nene).... Just another typical Wizards move.... I like Nene and all but he should be on a playoff team, and we are in complete rebuild mode and I see no benefit in bringing in a guy still owed almost 60 million dollars and coming off an injury.

Surprised that LA paid the price of a 1st to move Fisher. Thought they would get more value/cost savingsback. Did not think Hill had that much value as a player. McRoberts could be the next player on the trading block if Hill works out and resigns at a reasonable price. He could also be up for a sign a trade where LA gets a pick back.

Surprised that so many people think the swap of picks, which is about 5 spots, is so valuable. Could be worth a high 2d. League fallout from the Cleve trade will have real impacts on future LAL trades as it seeks to get under the cascading LT in 2 seasons.

Rugby, Jordan Hill has a team option thus we have the rest of the season to assess what he can do for us.

What price is the Hill option? He could be pooled with McBob for a SF at the end of the season or for a pick. Still like the sign and trade option where we send out players for future picks. While progress is made on the cap front, more work needs to be done. Lots of teams have cap space space and will be in the acquistion business. Reasonably-priced younger players could generate a boatload of picks that could be used to fill roster spots in 2 years.

Hill can become a consistent player if given about 25 mpg (which he can get). Playing sporadic minutes destroys a young player or really anyone who doesn't have the mental toughness to be a productive bench player. I think he's better than McRoberts and Murphy and he will soon get their playing time.

I would think that option would have been picked up already? Am I wrong?

Can't think of any major crow for myself. I would have hoped for a little more for Sam Young expected maybe a bit less for Monta (but that might be my Australian homerism talking), and the Nene and Wallace trades certainly surprised me, but I don't think I put my foot in it too badly.

Its listed at $3,632,526... and he has a qualifying offer the year after that. I do not know, though, if that option has been picked up or declined or when the deadline for such is.

Houston already declined it.

I have said many times that there was no way in hell that you would ever see Fisher in a Houston uniform. Now- if they negotiate a buyout that may still be the case, but the fact that we made a trade bringing him in...yeah, never thought that would happen.
