I feel like the lack of trade deadline deals limit the crow thread. Personally, I was shocked of the value that turner had.

Huh?

Edit: Forget it. I assume you meant lack of value.

Yea, thought he would net more from a contender looking for some bench scoring.

Fair point. At least the dumping Perk part. There's nothing about adding Hawes that was ever any good. Anyway, Perk being out a while will be an interesting case study. We definitely could've used him today. But we shall see. Maybe Funaki is ready. Hope so.

My opinions are 90% correct. People love arguing against me but every time i call something out, it is always correct. The only real thing I was way off this season is the BKN Nets record but most people believe they will be a top tier team.

Here's another one of mine, hopefully to encourage other people:

Up until the beginning of this season, I thought Anthony Davis was overhyped.

I no longer think that

I was sort of with you here, but felt that way about Blake Griffin, which was wrong!

When we were tanking I thought Lowry would net us a 1st rounder. Then realised it was an impossible sale when we started winning.

I'll put myself in the resign camp but I dont get the impression that Masai wants him around.

So, when you grow a pair and can actually admit the things you need to eat crow about post again.

I'd say the biggest thing I'll eat crow on is Derrick Williams trade value. It was higher in the off-season than it was when he was traded, but clearly not as high as I thought.

I really thought that the Deng trade would have worked out better for Cleveland. SF was such a hole for them that any serviceable SF should have made the team a lot better. But Deng has been taking, and even forcing, a lot of bad shots since arriving.

Forget about your confusion on 'would' and ''should' on perk. I'm gonna be polite on that nonsensical comment and let it slide.

But your theory on presti just died. Okc reportedly offered a pick for shumpert. So no that's not presti's philosophy. It's just some theory you attempted to come up with. If your theory is true, presti would never make such offer. RIP on your theory

And don't say "but the trade was declined by NY..." Like seriously what would you do if NY accepted? Create a smurf account and run away from main? I'm only saying this because you are like a mule to the point where I'm scared you are going to continue to believe in your theory even though it just hit a brick wall.

Put on the spot? Oh god no.

In terms of Perk, I think OKC would have been served to make a move but fully expected them not to. I did put in my predictions thread that they would use 2m of the TPE, so that Shump deal would have been sweet (I fully expected a Neal + high 2nd for PJ3 or something like that deal for a wing).

And I think anyone saying Hawes adds nothing has missed what he does add and is being very shortsighted.

Okay, main portion time. Eating crow:
1. Shocked by how little the Sixers got for Turner. They basically gave him away entirely to get him away from the team.

1b. Follow up -- I think I underplayed just how much worse the Sixers got. Watching the Bucks shorthandedly crush the Sixers playing at home, if that deal can make Philly get passed by the Bucks for 30th it was brilliant as that represents a 5% chance at the #1 pick.

Hawes deal was 1m in cap space, and 2 seconds for Hawes. Felt a little light, with the 2nds feeling right when it included the Orlando pick. Still not crow on that deal, but:
2. Hinkie dealt like the mad genius similar to how he did last 2nd round, and I was similarly unimpressed with the final result. After the Jrue trade (and n the glow of MCW's season) just how helterskelter he was in that 2nd round got forgetton in favor of how good his deals were, and I expected him to pull a Urji and fleece someone and not just trade like he plays GMAT.

Team predictions:
3. Cavs have been way worse than I expected, even expecting Bynum to break and never play. Course, I didn't expect them to be great or anything, but 35 wins seemed reasonable.
4. Phx. Um. Until I figure out what is going on there, I cannot say I'm wrong yet, right?
5. Nets. I thought they had enough vets to hold it together without the rails going off instantly.
6. The Bobcats can play defense. The Bobcats signed Al Jefferson and now can play defense.

Probably some more but thats the portion that I can think of.

Has this thread been invaded yet by all the Atlanta and then Detroit fans that insisted Josh Smith was an all star dominant 3?

I thought that Bargnani would be a terrific fit in NY and would completely rejuvenate his career.

I spent way more for him than I should have in my auction league.

I thought that the Mavs would be one of the worst teams in the West.

I thought that Jeremy Lin would emerge as the better starter for Houston before the All-Star break.

Seriously dude, you have got to stop pouring Red Bull on your Capt Crunch. It's making you edgy instead of rational. Just stick to the facts... 9 of our 13 guys have never played an official NBA game with any other team. And next year that ratio is likely higher.

As for the rumored offer of our #30 pick for Shump, hell ya, that would have been a great deal. Just because Presti's building the team via the draft doesn't mean he wouldn't accept a gift. Amazingly, the Knicks didn't do something stupid. This time. At least for now. Hopefully the kid's knee is fine and we can revisit the offer this June.
