I truly love these threads!

How do you say "OWN UP!" in German?

For me...I haven't been as active on T&T as I used to be in the past, but around RealGM I've dropped a few jokes about how my Rockets love to acquire New York Knicks 2nd Round Picks...and today we ended up sending two of those to them. I'll take my Crow with fava beans and a nice Chianti, please!

I said on many occasions over the past couple of years that there was no interest in Josh Smith from Houston and that no deal would happen...but I think that I get a pass on this one. No one saw that buyout coming.

On multiple occasions I said that there was no way that the Knicks would be able to move JR Smith. I'll take my crow with linguine & carbonara sauce here, please!

Like all Houston fans I said that matching Parsons was a no-brainer and a given. Here I'll enjoy my crow with asparagus and wild rice.

I was adamant in my belief that the Golden State Warriors were overrated and would regress this year. I'm getting full, but I still have room for some Buffalo Crow with a side of celery, fries and bleu cheese.

Everyone feel free to try the crow - tastes of chicken...only more crowish.

I'll take some crow for thinking the Knicks would be the team to dump salary on the Sixers, for not believing the Knicks could move JR Smith, for thinking MCW was part of the Sixers future, and for thinking OKC would try to get out of the tax again.

No problem. When I am wrong I'm wrong. And as you pointed out I was clearly in the wrong.

I thought that Orlando blew the draft last year by not picking Dante Exum with their #4 pick. Payton has played really well though and Aaron Gordon might be a star on the team. I'm happy for them.

I was predicting around 35. That said, even with a fairly injury prone roster, I don't think that ANYONE expected the injuries to be this bad.

thought Knicks would finish the job and get under the tax--instead they added a little money

thought the Suns were building towards something...oops. Now they have less talent and less flexibility and worse assets.

thought Al-Farouq Aminu would have a big role in Dallas this year and really help the team.

I thought Atlanta should sell Milsap and build towards the future----my biggest miss

Thought Presti didn't have this in him--another big miss

Thought Kobe would have a good year....

Thought Anthony Davis was overhyped coming into the draft.....

- Thought Jeremy Lamb would be our starting SG (frankly, I still think he should be)
- That Presti went into the tax was mildly surprising... especially for Steve Novak
- Didn't think McGary would be any good
notSonics 2016
Starters - Trey, Roberson, KD, Ibaka, Adams
Rotation - Payne, Waiters, Green, McGary, Kanter
Bench - Collison, Christon, Brodgon, Huestis
Stash - Johnson, Abrine
Cut - Morrow
Trade - Singler
Draft - Brogdon
FA - Green

Pretty sure he didn't stay in the tax so he could have Novak. I think Utah said-if you want Kanter you have to take Novak too. Clear salary dump by Utah and Presti and ownership stepped up to pay the price.

Agreed. And I'm looking forward to deciding if picking up Kanter was an opportunistic bonus well worth whatever Novak's salary & associated tax amounts to (eg Kanter becomes a key part of the team long term) or if we've made a mess of it (eg Brooks fails at establishing the right playing time mix for Adams, Kanter & McGary, jealousy develops over the starter role, Kanter doesn't resign, etc).

I'm just saying there was nothing to prevent Presti from flipping Novak's salary to the 76ers for a future asset thereby keeping the team out of the tax. Mildly surprising but I'm glad for it.

I was adamant just a day before deadline that we wouldn't consider Dragic for Knight....but we did much worse. Crow won't make up for what our FO did yesterday.

I was initially pissed when we drafted Aaron Gordon over Exum.

Happily eating crow.

Also didn't think Wiggins would be very good offensively. I still don't think he has the potential a lot of others do, but much better than I thought.

I thought Atlanta missed an opportunity this summer, that they limped into the playoffs and Horford returning would change alter made them effective against the Pacers, and seriously doubted they would be a top-4 seed. Whoops...
Count that baby and a foul!
