I don't think turning the lotto protected 2017 pick we own from the Clippers into a 2018 unprotected one (which will very likely fall in the same range) is worth trading Ross and Bebe. With Paul, Griffin, and Jordan, they'll still be a playoff team.

Anything can happen. Paul breaks his leg and Griffin goes down that's a lottery pick.

This is my view on the situation. If Ross agrees to a cheap extension this summer I don't make this trade. He's a valuable bench piece at the right price and bebe, while being a massive project does have potential to be a good shot blocker in the league.

If Ross wants to test the market in free agency or wants more than he's worth I make this trade without blinking.

Don't like it. Look what happened with the Kyrie pick, if even one of those picks went top 7 we'd become a laughing stock again.

I know they're win now, but they can't just keep throwing unprotecteds round

Given how successful Lou Williams was for the Raptors last season, and given that Casey is still your coach, I strongly disagree that you would have no need for Jamal. Quite the opposite actually. He would fit right in.

Sucks that Denver extended Chandler less than a day after I posted this.

Now Jamal for Chandler straight up doesn't matche salary-wise, so LAC are pretty much out. Although I still expect Chandler to be available (at a higher price) closer to the trade deadline, unless by some miracle Denver is in the playoff picture.

With this team I don't think conveying unprotected picks really matters in the short term. By being in the playoffs you are by definition out of the lottery, so the Kyrie scenario couldn't happen if this team is in the playoffs every year. That's why I had the last pick goin to Toronto in 2018. Its very likely that this team will still be together 3 years from now. I understand lotto protecting that pick, but at the same time I'd rather not tie it up until like 2022.

We just signed copy Joseph to a lucrative contract, we drafted Delon wright, both are combo guards. we have no use for another combo guard, that is why we let Lou Williams walk in free agency.

What we do need back in trade is a starting calibre power forward. Then to solidify the bench we need a 3 point shooting 2/3 or 3/4 like a Jr smith to replace Ross. We really do have absolutely no need for Jamal crawford he's too small to guard 3's.

I see. Would've thought you were set with Patterson and Scola.

They are nice pieces off the bench for sure, but if they are starting your in trouble. I'm thinking Terrence jones or Donatas motiejunas type of pf here.
