I don't see those as salary dumps, more clearing roster spots. Zoran wanted PT that he knew he wasn't going to get on this roster and Goran ok'd it. Shabazz's situation is the same, he most likely would've been our 4th point guard as TJ can play the 1 and 2 but I wasn't ready to see Bazz go yet. I just liked the way he ended SL and hopes he develops better than what he would've did had we kept him. Do you know how much the trades saved us?

Miami instead of cutting Dragic, paid a pick and his full salary to dump him. If they just cared about his pt, or basketball assets, cutting him would have let Miami keep their pick and let him pick a new team. So, yeah, it was clearly a salary dump as far as I am concerned.

Cutting him for what? He'd still be on the books and who cares about that pick? Highly unlikely that we'd find a stud with it anyway. We got him off our books and the Celtics will most likely waive him so he can go to whoever he wants.

So, to get him off the books you paid an asset? Yeah, thats exactly my definition of a salary dump. YMMV, but I have no idea why.

I'm starting to think your question what salary dumps wasn't really serious, and was just trying to argue some point that doesn't exist in any material way...
