at this point I would rather roll dice with the Brooklyn pick. make it the Boston pick going to Toronto and the Knicks pick going to Houston and then thats a fairer deal for all sides.

Toronto won't trade Valunciunas for a pick likely in between 16-20, that's terrible value.

they would be trading for Terrance Jones and that pick in this scenario. That is fair value for JV, but if I am Houston i would keep Jones.

Imo fair value for JV is jones and #8-10 pick or there abouts. It might be better for Toronto to show case JV early in the year to get his value up and then move him. I fully expect him to break out once casey or another coach gives him his due.

You really thing the Nets are gonna be that good? 16-20. More like 10-15 at best, my prediction is 12.

And in about 6 months all of these trade proposals undervaluing Sullinger will just look silly.

eh? Sullinger is alright..but I can't seem him being much more than a bench big on a good team. That's where I feel like he'll settle in his NBA career.

I agree that's likely where he settles as his career progresses.

The reason he is tricky to value is because there is some upside there where he could potentially be more than that (low level starter on a good team/key bench guy a la Tristan Thompson in the Cavs run this year). But then you also have the weight issues and nagging injuries and you have to consider the possibility that he's one of those guys who just is never at 100%.

Some people will focus on the former and always see him as a guy with more potential than what he's shown and others will focus on the latter and never give him the benefit of the doubt.

Elite GM's win championships, don't see any for these 3 guys. Is Houston gonna beat the Warriors or Spurs in 2015-16? Toronto and Boston are not winning the East. So talk to me when they do.

Ujiri traded Bargnani for a 1st round pick. By default he is elite.

And Trashquez for a 1st and a second and that's not all!!! pure cap space! That trade was legendary, I want to hear more about it.

Granted but it's been a while, he's made a few good trades and built a pile of draft picks but what does it say about the quality of those picks when 4 of them couldn't entice Micheal Jordan to give up the 9th pick which turned out to be Frank the Tank?

Those 2 deal prove there is no accounting for the idiocy of some GM's.

No for Houston, they don't have enough room for Sullinger.

This is a fat joke.

And so: Ujiri got value for Melo and later Bargnani when he had little to no leverage in either deal.
"He took two tough situations where he was perhaps at a disadvantage and actually turned them in his favor," said Spurs GM R.C. Buford. "He handled the Denver situation better than anyone could've imagined. Masai is in an elite group. His ability to read people is probably unmatched."

I think I'll take the opinion of one of the greatest basketball minds ever over your own, tyvm.
