If I'm Sac, I consider it if rebuilding is the aim.
PHX, I wiuldnt pull the trigger. Would arguably not be a playoff team and only one off season to build a contender before Cousins can walk. I'd not feel confident enough in him resigning.

Re: Cousins to the Suns
I don't think PHX is a desirable trade partner for Sacramento. If Booker is off the table, then there's absolutely nothing that I like coming from PHX.

Re: Cousins to the Suns
The OP's trade is too much.
SAC gets Bender, Knight, 2017 1st (PHX), 2017 2nd (PHX), 2018 1st (MIA), 2018 2nd (PHX).
PHX gets Cousins, Casspi
That's a top five pick and two future firsts plus a talented if inefficient player at a position of need. Bender is a big from the Balkans (Vlade loves that) with a unique skill set and high ceiling. Suns pick is unprotected. The deal replenishes the Kings draft picks and allows them to add a lot of young talent in a short period of time expediting the rebuild process.
That would leave Phoenix with Bledsoe, Booker, Warren, Dudley, Cousins as starters and Tucker, Casspi, Chandler, Chriss, Barbosa, Ulis and Len off the bench. That's a better team than what Sacramento has placed around Cousins at any point over the last seven years.
I don't know if it beats what other teams will offer but the Celtics and Ainge are notorious for trying to win trades as opposed to working out equitable deals. Plus the Suns have a working relationship with the Kings and Vlade stemming from the draft day deal for Chriss.
