Do players that get bought out have to go through waivers? If so, I wonder if Bogut would get claimed. The Wolves and Denver both have cap space to make a waiver claim and both are still looking to compete for the 8th spot in the West.

Would be interesting if Rondo is cut if Phil waives Rose to pick up Rondo.

I would think Bogut would be the most obvious one.

Think BOS has full room exception and a possible starting gig for Bogut :)

Rockets have the most. Cleared 3.5 mil in space with their last 2 moves

Jazz still have $13.6MM under the cap. They could waive Withey & Neto and make a play for both Bogut & Deron if they thought it would help most with the postseason.

Worth waiving Withey though?

Thought he was a solid D center?

I don't think it should be taken for granted that guys like Bogut and Deron clear waivers. Their are a few teams (MIN, DEN, UTA) that have the cap space to claim them and are still in the playoff hunt (the Wolves are still stating their goal is to push for the 8th spot).

Withey is good but he is expiring. And a healthy Bogut is better than Withey. It's a lateral move with upside if Bogut gets right.

Deron Williams will get waived. Andrew Bogut, Rajon Rondo will get buyouts. Splitter might get cut, but I'm pretty sure he can't play this season due to injury. Canaan and MCW, i'd be surprised. They are still young and it really wouldn't be needed. Jeff Green, Orlando still needs him.

With the Lakers in the spot they are, I would not be remotely shocked to see Calderon become available.
