Yeah, trading him for a ball dominant player who has no interest playing defense whatsoever would definitely make them better.

Love is better than Melo

The Cavs could have used Melo today, more so than Love I think. In saying that, Melo's body isn't exactly youthful anymore. The real steal in that trade would be Baker, cause the Cavs bench needs some help.

Trade him for two great defenders that can hit open shots but don't need to be the focal point of the offense a la Draymond and Klay.

How about Love and Shump to Denver for Faried, Chandler and Barton? Love to Detroit for Harris, Morris and Johnson?

It's funny how we are always taught that leaders need to take responsibility for their team's mistakes and have to shoulder the blame when their team under-performs, whether it be in sports or the corporate world. Yet Lebron escapes all blame and everyone points the finger at the Loves and Boshs of this world.

The paradox of Lebron is that, as great and unselfish he is, his style of play does not promote team basketball.

But then again, it's just been one game. Let last year be a lesson that we should not overreact just yet.

No chance in hell we're giving up Baker. They can have Melo, and if they want someone else it can be Lance Thomas.

You are totally right but judging from game 1, they absolutely don't have anyone to guard KD. Lebron cant be running full speed to guard kd and have to facilitate the offence.

I follow the raptors, it is just the same as trying to get guys to slow lebron down. The whole league cannot just give up so just figuring out how they can counter that with kd joining. I think lebron learnt that they really don't need another playmaking so by getting korver and dwill doesn't really help. They need someone to somehow defend KD if there is any

If Philly are intent on playing Simmons on the perimeter...

Sixers send 3rd pick
Sixers receive Kevin Love

Pacers send Paul George
Pacers receive 3rd pick

Cavs send Love
Cavs receive George

I wonder if they could get Paul George for him.

People do understand he had 21 rebounds and only 1 of the Cavs 20 turnovers tonight?

I really think they should trade Thompson before Love but he's on a crappy contract and Love would bring back more value.

Yep this.

But also, we're blaming Love for game 1? Seemed like he was okay to me? Everyone outside of James-Love-Irving was godawful. Tristan Thompson can't have 0 points and 4 rebounds.

The warriors tried to trade for Love, but role players like Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, David Lee and Harrison Barnes weren't enough.

I thought Golden State refused to include Thompson in the deal, which is why Love was traded to Cleveland.

Also, the year before the Love trade Green was still struggling to find his role in the NBA. He didn't excel until Kerr put him at the 4.

They wanted to trade us Thompson + Lee and we wanted Thompson + Barnes + Green

I feel like it worked out for everyone.

Nope.

Still Kevin's fault.
