I love me some Trojans in Taj Gibson, who's a hardnosed player thats always useful on the court. Getting any FRP for PatBev is the best the LAC can expect. WeJo is whatever salary filler. If i'm the Clips i'd then try to spin Taj elsewhere for another SRP, with Montrezl on the roster, there's no point carrying the both of them..... or trade Trez for the best assets they can get back since he's on a lovely 2 yr 12mil deal. Taj is expiring so it helps their 2019 2 max plan, if they're serious about that.

For the other teams, i can see how it works. TWolves want more shooting and lower usage 3D PG. PHX wants to compete now by getting a real starting quality PG for a big man who might steal too much PT from the kids. The MIL FRP might not convey so just send it out and get some short term piece that can help alot.

Clearly LAC is biggest winners while MIN/PHX need to think long and hard if the gambles are worth it.

Truth be told, I was kind of thinking Los Angeles should just get two seconds, as opposed to a first, but I didn't want to seem overly greedy.

The Ryan Anderson inclusion is a big reason for the value being a late-first, in my opinion.

Anderson is actually guaranteed less money than Teague next year at this point.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Sure, but that is 15.6 million dollars of no production, while Jeff Teague (at 19 million) provides average, starting level guard play. Essentially that is 3.4 million dollars for a competent, starting Point-Guard if Ryan Anderson is hypothetically waived (that said, I fully expect Phoenix to end up just picking up the option, unless they trade him away).

Anderson still gives you 10 ppg with really high efficiency. He has some on the court value - especially off the bench. The other problem is the Suns really don't have a late first to offer. They would have an early second.

The late-first in my mind is the Milwaukee pick.

That aside, I like Ryan Anderson, that is why I expect Phoenix to guarantee his full salary (if I am not mistaken, only fifteen+ million is guaranteed, but if they decide to keep him, he receives his full, twenty+ million dollar salary).
