I have addressed — many times. So once again, that is a scenario as well. Myself and many have posted trades playing out that scenario.
It does add a level of complication. Adds a level of uncertainty with who and where James is traded. This thread is about exploring removing those and dealing directly with GSW.
In order to buy that, you have to believe that LBJ's current trade value is cap space. If his value is higher than cap space, you have both the Lakers and Durant behaving irrationally.
I don’t agree with that. It is also ease of transaction. If KD does approach Magic and want to play in Lakers Land minus James — that is a small window to find a team that checks all the boxes in trade. Has salary and value to send out. James would suit up non disgruntled. Would be willing to trade with Lakers (knowing their plan). And others.
Not impossible. That is why that scenario discussed in many threads.
