Combining some ideas that I haven't really thought thru.... . But, would something based on Sabonis for OG/Powell make more sense?
TOR has Siakam and the defense (though you're trading some) to make up for Sabonis and really benefit from his playmaking. Nurse can scheme around his D as well and bring out the offensive side.
IND puts Brogdon/Dipo/OG/Warren/Turner out there which could be pretty nasty. They can stop there or deal Powell or Lamb or whoever to clear out a little of the guard logjam for some picks or something, but depth isn't horrible either.

Love to see the statistics that back this up...,,
Basic Stats w/ Shooting
Oladipo: 11.3 PER, -3.3 BPM, .002 WS/48, 50.6 TS%, .317 3P%, .200 Corner 3%, .441 FG% at rim
Anunoby: 13.2 PER, 1.2 BPM, .134 WS/48, 60.0 TS%, .390 3P%, .400 Corner 3%, .680 FG% at rim
I am not sure what exactly the argument is for "Oladipo has been better post-injury than Anunoby". Could Oladipo return to 75% of what he was post-injury and have a very strong argument ahead of Anunoby? Of course, but then we run into the issue of Oladipo being a player who plays best with the ball in his hand yet he has only had 1 season in his career where he looked like a legitimate #1/#2 type player for a full season. I understand a team like Indiana being optimistic of Oladipo returning to a level close to 2018 but I have suspicions of other teams valuing him anywhere near that level. Anunoby on the other hand has shown he can fit in with a talented team and produce while filling in holes for the team at a high level.
Anunoby isn't a "franchise cornerstone" and neither is Victor Oladipo. Anunoby has more value at this point because of his seamless fit next to just about every great #1 and #2 option in the NBA. Until Victor Oladipo can show he is a productive #3/#4 on a team going deep into the post-season then he will forever be viewed as an inferior player to me.

Toronto says no thank you very quickly, Anunoby is younger than Dipo has a higher ceiling defensively and is cheaper. I don't think Toronto risks Anunoby to rent Dipo to see if he's what he was before the injury.

Yah this is an easy pass for the raptors. I'd love to steal OG but I'm sure the raptors organization appropriately values him.

Same issue about Powell exists. And the OG negotiation may be fraught. Is he a max contract guy? Are you willing to overpay on the max to keep from angering him on his next contract? The risks aren’t eliminated. Just shifted.
I like OG and don't think much of Powell, I'm keeping Victor till at least the trade deadline to see what he can do once he's had adequate time and a training camp. If the 21 season doesn't start till Jan, that's 4 more months for VO to heal up and get back.
So if these trades we are seeing are an indication of what moves can be made then I say stand pat, use the MLE, try to dump TJ Leaf and find a backup 4 some place.

OG is a guy the Pacers should have picked in 2017 or John Collins instead of TJ Leaf! I'm still pissed about that!

Talk to 76er fans about passing on Tatum over Fultz I mean can you imagine the damage Butler, Tatum, Simmons and Embiid could dobasketballwacko2 wrote:Mr Swagtastic wrote:Toronto says no thank you very quickly, Anunoby is younger than Dipo has a higher ceiling defensively and is cheaper. I'm still pissed about that!, Suns or Kings for passing on Doncic etc. Yeah Toronto got lucky with OG Anunoby and I don't think we risk it for Dipo. I mean I like Victor but I don't think he has the value pre injury right now teams might shy away from him if they are giving up this kind of deal. I think most Toronto gives is one of Freddy VanVleet or Powell one of Boucher or Davis and their pick this year. Some Raptors fans probably don't want to give up that
That’s fine. It’s wildly undervalued offers and the kind that Masai wouldn’t even offer so not as to burn his credibility, but I understand wanting good players for the cheapest you can. I think Powell is a solid player. And FVV, too, though we just don’t have a use/need for FVV. Boucher and Davis are fine enough bench players, but obviously not value pieces in a potential Oladipo deal, much like Alize Johnson or Edmund Sumner wouldn’t be key pieces in a FVV or OG deal. But also, Toronto has many options being a destination City with cap space and a great GM/Coach. They don’t need to take a risk on Oladipo returning to All NBA and All Defensive team form. Whereas Indy likely needs to take that risk.

Re: OG/Powell for Oladipo
Yeah I agree Indy needs Dipo more than any team, I honestly think Toronto tries another Kawhi Leonard type of move trying to get that missing alpha dog to help this team who that is I am not sure who it is not are Westbrook, Tobias Harris, Nikola Vucevic or guys with big post '21 salary.Scoot McGroot wrote:Mr Swagtastic wrote:Talk to 76er fans about passing on Tatum over Fultz I mean can you imagine the damage Butler, Tatum, Simmons and Embiid could dobasketballwacko2 wrote:

However they approach it, I would feel comfortable taking whatever risks/plan of action that Masai/Nurse work out together.
As for Harris, I think he could really be his best self somewhere when he can play purely the 4 in an offense better suited to his style. Just matching that salary is hard, though. But yeah, otherwise, I could see Masai taking on some 2021 expiring salary for value for one year, especially if they’re halfway decent players.
