I really hope for the sake of the Bucks Giannis signs that extension. That is a Billy King deal if The Freak walks.

This feels very risky for the Bucks. If Giannis leaves this is a huge haul for NO. At least for the regular season it't not even that big of a step down from Holiday to Bledsoe.

Three firsts and two swaps for an expiring Holiday. He’s an amazing player. But these are likely unprotected firsts. Major major gamble.

I understand it for the Bucks tho, they are in win now mode and needed a big time splash player for Giannis to be happy. Jrue is one of the best on both sides of the floor, good for them.

Giannis could be gone after this year lol. Hopefully MKE was clear headed enough to not go full Billy King here.

lol yea this is the only thing I can think of, Geez don't remind me :banghead: I can't believe I had to live thru that. But I guess it all worked out in the end :D 8-)

3 firsts and 2 pick swaps for a 30 year old expiring?

This will go down as the worst trade of all time. It will make the Brooklyn and Boston deal look like nothing.

I almost feel bad for Bucks fans, as they just lost a decade of basketball. This may change the rules again on trading draft picks.

If they win the title and/or Giannis resigns it definitely will not.

Or imagine locking 32yo Jrue Holiday into a Tobias Harris contract only to watch Giannis leave (or sign a 1+1 and leave the year after).

This is a wild trade. Maybe the Bucks know something we don't and Jrue = a long term Giannis extension.

They have to have gotten assurances from Giannis that he would extend if they did this, don't they? They just gave up their future for 1 year and the bird rights to 30 year old Jrue Holiday.

They might as well relocate the team and start fresh, that’s how scorched earth this trade is.

And the Vegas odds on that? 8:1?

Probably won’t be top 3 betting favorites.

Yikes. Maybe they have time to cancel this deal.

I'd have the odds way less than 8 to 1 they win the title and/or bring back Giannis. I'd have it better than even money in fact. This is what Giannis was asking them to do and they did it.

This deal is BEYOND awful.

Absolutely shocked that a certain poster here is STILL unable to grasp why Holiday shouldn't have anywhere near this value relative to Bledsoe or the case I've made on the matter time and time again only to insert word after word into my mouth.

On the surface, it looks good for Milwaukee. They don't have to give up Divicenzo, and they upgrade a position of need. However, I'm not sure Holiday alone gives you the playmaking that they lacked in the postseason, he's not really an upgrade over Hill or Bledsoe in that regard. And you trade 3 and 2 years of club control for one, it's a risk.

Also, those picks?!?! 3 1sts and 2 swaps is a ton. This deal could put them over the top, but the downside is much worse, especially if Giannis walks.

dying to see the pick details but my god there are maybe 10 players in the NBA you would part with that many picks for.

it is hard for me to grasp that Holiday isn't way more valuable than Bledsoe when the proof is right in front of us :D
