Houston already had: Cash Paid ($5,617,000 max): $1 million to the Oklahoma City Thunder (Russell Westbrook).
Detroit had: Cash Received ($5,617,000 max): $0

This enables Houston and Detroit to send/receive cash in 20/21.

So I'm guessing that this is a separate deal so that it can be completed in 19/20 while the other portion of the deal is completed in 20/21 then? Makes a lot more sense now.

Yes. Unless anyone from the league asks, then they are two separate trades, with entirely equal halves. :wink:

But really, the league doesn't care. Philly sold 2nd rounders so much one year, they had them sell on July 1st, with the guys the other team just happened to want.
