Vote: Giannis. It's tough to pick between Anteup, Luka and LeBron, as I don't believe either of those three teams will trade any of those guys for anyone but one of the others, just leading to personal bias here.

Nominate: Trae Young

I too just have no idea what to do with Lebron. Just none. He should be #1, but then I look at Giannis and Luka and think the offer would have to be higher and the Bucks and Mavs would just never swap them while I can squint and see the Lakers bringing in the next star. I mean they traded Shaq. They near as traded Kobe. I don't think they have the attachment to Lebron that some thing.

But then he's Lebron freaking James.

Only other candidates imo are Giannis and Luka. They form a clear top 3.

Screw it. Giannis locked up for at least 4 more years after this one just entering his physical prime can't be the wrong answer to anything.

V: Giannis
N: Harden -- just went for big haul and he's simply too good not to be here.

Yes. LeBron will make the Lakers money this year and for decades into the future. He is potentially the greatest player of all time (I say #2), and he chose to come and wear a Laker uniform. How big an influence on free agency will that bring to the next generation of potential superstars?

LeBron is media-savvy, tremendously marketable even outside the NBA, and he happens to be pretty good at the game of basketball as well.

I don't think it's just about money. The Warriors are a ridiculous amount in lux tax this year and their team is mediocre. Plus Giannis is marketable as well obviously.

I would imagine Giannis carries one thousandth of the marketing power of LeBron James.

Doncic has probably the highest value, although it is hard to say without some context. For example it is much more likely for the Lakers to accept a Lbron for Doncic trade than the Mavericks.

Isn't Doncic under control for just one year more than Giannis? And he's clearly getting that type of contract.

I'm surprised at the LeBron love in this regard. He's 36 and mortal (I think). And while he may be the best player in the league, he isn't Miami LeBron. I don't see how two years of that is worth what someone like Freak or Doncic brings.

Vote - Giannis
Nominate - Harden
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Luka.

Year 3. Improved defense. Shown his game translates to playoffs. Lead the all time efficient offense last year in his second year.
