Otto Porter a buyout candidate now?

Dang. There goes my hope that we'd surpass ORL in the lottery odds. Good move by ORL, finally committing to a plan. Gordon is up next.

Chicago is now going to be tough. If they land Ball this will be a hell of a trade deadline for them.

I like what Orlando got. Centers just don't bring a lot of value and I think this is a great return.

Orlando is going to have their hands full today but I agree he’s highly flippable if you can make it come together

WTF.

Let’s hope this one is fake.

When Vooch signed his 4 year, $100 mil deal, I thought it was a lot of money for a center, but probably a fair deal.

Vucevic has improved, and it’s a good contract ($26,$24,$22 remaining), but not amazing. Pay the money for talent.

Pending protections, this is a win-win trade. Although the Bulls really need to get a different guy at the 4 now. Lauri and Vuc together will be... rough on the defensive end.

Unless those are heavily protected firsts i have this as a massive massive win for the Magic.

They pretty much clear 100% of vucs salary with the porter expiring and get if not lotto picks then mid first picks.

What is the bulls motivation? to become the magic?

I feel bad for Lavine.

I'm slow, where is the sourcing on Ainge's offer?

This.

And for the equal but opposite reason, bulls fans should be facepalming. they just became the orlando magic.

I'm guessing its just the usual tired Ainge shtick. Hope people don't do this in every trade thread today.

Yeah, as much as I like Vuc, Orlando definitely did the right thing. Unfortunately, I think Chicago was a really bad destination for him. I just don't see him and Lauri being a good combo up front particularly on the defensive end. But we'll see - it's certainly a bold move, and Chicago will be a fun offensive team to watch.

doesn't the 2021 have to be unprotected because they are also sending out 2023?

That's a crazy gamble for Chicago, what if Lavine gets hurt?
