I'm a little meh tbh. All these trades where we're shipping out the two or three guys besides Garland who can actually shoot from 3 don't make a lot of sense to me, at least not in a vacuum. If we have a specific player in mind with the cap savings, and if an agent let it slip he'd like to sign here at an agreeable number, okay.

Plus, having Prince on an expiring deal at that figure could prove valuable when everyone is looking to shed salary.

Unless I am missing something the contracts are the same length (just 2 mil cheaper).

GS is not trading our most important assets and using one of our major salaries just to bring in Julius Randle. So no from GS.

Prince is in the last year of his deal, Ross is not.

You're missing that I'm an idiot who was thinking about Ross instead of Hood. But Hood's deal isn't guaranteed so he really doesn't need a landing spot anyway.

I don't think Prince or Hood would be in our long term plan. Hood would be a $10M expiring at that point, so pretty similar to Prince. Either way you'll (most likely) have Allen getting paid, Love still on the books for another year, and Sexton about to be paid. I think they let the $10-12M for Prince/Hood just fall off. Maybe you get another 2nd at the deadline from a contender filling their bench but not non-expiring salary.

Answer me this, if VanVleet is one of the worst contracts in the league according to you why do you want him? How is a guard that put up 20 points 6.3 assist 1.7steals per game, almost a block and 4.2 rebounds while shooting 36% from 3-point range on 9.2 attempts per game a bad contract while playings defense I think you need to re-evaluate what a bad contract is Andrew Wiggins is the definition of a bad contract

Toronto does not want Andrew Wiggins where is his fit going to be in Toronto they have Gary Trent Jr OG anunoby and Pascal siakam as your shooting guard small forward and power forward respectively I doubt they want to make Gary Trent a six-man while paying him in the neighbourhood of 10 to 15 million a year just to have Andrew Wiggins as your small forward or shooting guard that is absurd for Toronto if anything Toronto needs a pick coming back or some sort of value

The Knicks are stealing value massively here there, no way Randall and Mitchell get you Fred Van Vleet James Wiseman and a top 7 pick in this draft that is impossible to do nobody is going to overpay for Julius Randle he's unbelievably bad fit with Golden State he's a ball dominant big man and I doubt he would be a good fit next to Draymond Green plus we're all the touches going to come from with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson plus Randall?
