Re: Simmons to ORL
The Magic may have some interest when Simmons starts making FTs. Get back to us when he can. Otherwise he's a liability in crunch time and can't be on the court.

I have been wrong before, but I don’t see any fit for Simmons. If Simmons is playing and playing well, then his contract could be moved pretty easily, but if Simmons is not playing due to mental issues, the 6er’s would need to add firsts to get a water boy.
There is a fool born every hour so maybe Morey could find a gullible GM, but a strategy of another GM being a fool is a pretty poor strategy.

Re: Simmons to ORL
It's easy to forget how elite a player he is (was)...but he's done nothing to help himself or his value in this mess and there's an awful lot of criticism about his work ethic and personality...Certainly, it's not all true, but still a LOT of doubts surrounding him. When you add that to his $$$, it's a tough sell for a team like ORL, that is basically at the bottom of a youth movement/rebuild. You can't "steal" a guy with that contract and Morey probably wouldn't go for it anyway. I just don't know how he rehabs his value with all of this talk (from him and his crew) about his mental weakness, etc.
I'm all for ORL making bold moves to accelerate the rebuild, but I'm scared of Simmons. The most obvious guy (just one part of a pkg.)to go back to PHI, based on their needs and ORL's role for Simmons, would be Fultz- and we know that's not happening. Theoretically, if Fultz & Isaac were healthy and at peak productivity, that would be a great fit for PHI...but they're not.
I don't see it for either side.
