Jrue shot 39%, 41% and 38% from 3PT in the last three seasons...

Nets make sense too.

Holiday keeps cap sheet clean for 25 offseason. And he is PG/SG enough to let Simmons play guard. More wins helps youth develop and when you don’t own your own picks, good thing too.

DFS + Clowney + O’Neale + Owed Picks as needed

Moody is nice but PDX doesnt need more guards.

A deal for Jrue would lock the W's into the 2nd apron.. it seems unlikely at this point, especially since the team has been working with CP3 all offseason. Continuity a big part of our success and throwing a wrench into the roster weeks before the season doesn't seem like a Warriors move. That said, new GM, maybe new philosophy

I think they will do the thing that gives them the best chance at a championship. If they think it is trading Paul + stuff for Holiday, they will do it. I think it is a reasonable assessment to think the loss of depth would be too big of a hit, though.

If its just CP3/Kuminga (along w/picks, obv), that's a depth hit we'll take every day. If Moody has to be involved, that makes it a lot messier.. Moody is earmarked for a role. Kuminga is lightly penciled in for one, but I tend to think we'd get off Kuminga for a 20 mpg quality rotation player first chance we get. Not to mention bringing in Gay earlier today, which - if he makes the team - will threaten Kuminga's already shaky minutes

Lol my bad, that's what I get for trying to use the stats from Fanspo's machine. They had him at 34%.

I know the difference in hype, but I think there are a lot of teams where Jrue makes more sense than Lillard.. and if a team can convince POR to take another sketchy deal for a vet guard, that team is going to be sitting pretty

I dont know how the public facing metrics comp the 2, but Jrue and Lillard were separated by less than a full pt in tracking last year (6.6 to 5.8 in favor of Dame)

What about Denver? MPJ + picks?

Considering the difference in contract, I wouldn't be surprised at all if there is a bigger market for Jrue than Dame.

exactly what I'm thinking. Portland's grade should be INC right now.. I actually thought Jrue had 3-4 years left on the deal initially. He's basically an expiring contract with a PO for the next season. He could be in high demand

Holiday to BOS
Brogdan to LAC
Filler and picks to PDX

What picks would work in the above?

Hopefully POR keeps Jrue and moves Simons.

In terms of fit, it's very tempting to still go for Jrue even after all this

But yeah probably not likely

The more I look into it, the more possible it seems. Like if we dealt CP3/Kuminga/Podz/picks for him, we'd have some flexibility potentially in terms of retaining both Jrue and Klay, assuming they'd both play ball. Klay should - we've done a ton for him - but would Jrue, in order to chase a title with the aging Warriors? If both would, I think that elevates the team to contending status, assuming health

Base idea (need to sort out salary)

BOS gives: Brogdon, picks
BOS gets: Holiday

HOU gives: KPJ
HOU gets: Brogdon

POR gives: Holiday
POR gets: KPJ (Waived), BOS picks

Would BOS do higher of GSW / BOS 24 FRP + a future UNP FRP?

Think Holiday is such an ideal fit they would go for something like that.

Didn't Portland just dump a "bad" contract? (I know Dame is a much better player, but this was a cap deal too).

I can't see them locking into MPJ at that long term money.

What about Jrue + Grant for Harden + Harris?

POR clears a ton of future salary and then flips Harden to the Clips for assets and maybe they use harris to take on bad salary for more assets.

I'm just spitballing here

Philly would need to add an asset, IMO, and it probably just needs to be a direct 3 team trade. I kind of like the idea of Portland loading up on future unprotected picks from old teams, though.

PDX just signed Grant, they are not going to dilute the value of Holiday by attaching Jerami.

They also want Jerami around the kids. Hell, if Holiday was younger I would keep him around the kids too and move Simons - but w/ only 2 years of playing left its the right thing to move him ASAP.

Why do people keep throwing "Brogdon" when proposing Jrue to Boston? Celtics would still need to add 10M in salaries.
