Say what you will about the current ownership or management, but the words "basketball hell" do not bring the Phoenix Suns to mind.

giannis is too nice to request that dame be shipped off to basketball hell because of an injury

he's not going to ask out this summer

Gianni's isn't likely to say that specifically either, but he might say i go mprove the team. Last year sucked. And well there aren't a lot of avenues for them to improve with $50M of dead cap.

Can't wait for how you narrowly define it this time to insist Giannis would never say.....

I hope he doesn't ask out too. But I don't share this unwavering confidence that there is just no chance he does either. Even with my boy Dirk I refused to ever take him for granted.

look man, I'm just much more knowledgeable than you on this specific subject, I'm not going to claim to have actionable insider information, but I do run the largest bucks-fan community on the whole internet -- every single rumbling from people surrounding giannis and his entourage says he has no interest in leaving, and every public statement he has ever made has reinforced that

I'd hope you know more about the players on your team than you do the ones on the bucks :D

Not sure how relevant that is. I joked on this forum for years about future Laker Luka Doncic, but I didn't think it would be this year. I can claim to know what Kyrie Irving is going to do but you would be a fool to take me as any kind of authority. I thought when Dallas was careful to duck the tax in the Luka deal they would stay under and they immediately went and made the stupid Caleb Martin trade.

I might have a better idea of the specifics of Dwight Powell's game than you. But probably a worse idea of his trade value because I have a potential bias issue you don't. And so on.

But its all good. I want what you want. I want him to stay a Buck. I just want them to try and put a team around him this year and not plead our hands our tied.

I don’t think Giannis is desperate to go out and get a far past their prime name player, like Dame and him didn’t fit perfect but Dame was/is still an Allstar. Beal and George are simply replacement level players in 2025/26, I can confidently say the Bucks have better options than Beal who are fractions of the cost. It’s harder to find a big wing player like George but he fell off too hard and has too obscene of a contract. These not player you trade for reliability or post season success.

I think something people should understand is that there is a collaborative relationship between the Bucks and Giannis, he is not a mercenary or victim. Say of it what you will but he wanted Dame and Doc Rivers, I do not believe Giannis is going to walk away from his friends and personal investment in his team/teammates because the guy he wanted on the team got hurt.

Beals definitely better than either of those two guys. It’s the contract.

only .4 VORP last season....

Dame was good until he was hurt, I'd rather chance it he makes a full recovery

only way you make this is if giannis demands it, and that's completely unrealistic

18/3/4 on 47%/38%/82% on 60% TS. I’ve completely lost all faith in the guy as a star level player but he was efficient mostly playing out of position on a terribly organized team. I do t think this solves any of the issues Milwaukee save for the fact if his acquisition keeps Giannis around, who I do feel like he would play well off of, is probably worth it. Not sure how it’s worth it for the Suns, however.

I don't see either team wanting to do it

there is a 0.000% chance giannis says "I want to leave unless you trade dame for beal"

the suns *should* because dame will almost certainly be more tradable than beal next season (not even accounting for the NTC), but I doubt they would trade for someone who won't play next season

Brother, that Dame contract is worse than Beals at this point. In the last year of a contract deals can be worked out. As an expiring the NTC is mitigated. But if I had to guess I doubt very much that Beal is on the Suns to start this season much less next.

Also lack of availability. He’s a max player and not demonstrably better than guys making the minimum, that’s an all time bad contract with the NTC.
