It tends to happen after a disappointing playoffs for a team. Cleveland looked poised to go far and then got steamrolled when it mattered most. Someone may have to be the fall guy

If the Spurs traded Castle and Harper to the Bucks for Giannis, what is a good third team to reroute Castle too?

Ehhhhhh, he's a miserable fit with Zion and Herb.

Not sure if that matters I guess.

I guess the team that gives up the most for him would just be the team that thinks they can teach him how to shoot and that's hard to guess.

LOL I was just thinking didn't they just sign him to a 4 year deal or something and now hearing trades but then started thinking, maybe it's due to the cba or something?

Definitely CBA. Theyre gonna be in cap hell with that squad...justifiable if youre a contender. Not so much with b2b seasons exiting before the CF's

Portland would be intrigued to offer MIL their picks back for Castle I'd think.

Does
Garland, Allen, Strus, #49, #59
for
Trae, Okongwu, Bufkin
make any sense? Saves 10 mil to have the Cavs 5 mil under the 2nd apron. I know that wouldn't be a great defensive backcourt, but not any worse than current i guess.

They did. And they are more restricted in changes now due to second apron limitations (can’t add salary via trade, can’t aggregate salaries to acquire a player making more, no form of MLE, etc), so they’d likely have to move a larger contract to make any sort of major realignment. And, after a disappointing end of the season, there’s going to be a lot of discussions of changes. And you’re not going to start those with Mitchell or Mobley, as much as you might Allen/Garland.

This offseason going to be fun as hell and going to shock a lot of us I think :)

Bulls spin machine already putting out stories about teams being interested in Vucevic.

I just don't see a trade market for him - ecspecially as I imagine the Bulls to be hesitant to take back any long-term salary.

Vuc being the centerpriece in a Kuminga sign & trade is a popular idea on the Bulls board, I think they're in for a rude awakening of what it will take to acquire Kuminga in a sign and trade with the Warriors.

Really, I see the Vucevic/Bulls relationship ending in a buyout, whether in the offseason or during the season. Vuc has stated he'd like to play for a team with a chance to content. I don't see any contending teams having a need for Vuc, particularly at his current salary where trading for him just doesn't create other holes.

If Vuc wants to be on a contender, he should accept a discount on a buyout and then go attempt to recoup those losses on a contract he signs this offseason.

Toronto is going to be in "win-now mode" in the sense that they need to see their glut of diverse wings through with a lucrative PG like Quickley to fill in and grease the wheels. I don't think they are actively shopping him.

Maybe not but what Lakers players might fit better for him? Lakers would be sending players back.
