Great move , just surprised it’s 3 guaranteed season. He’s a light starter / awesome backup for up to 20 mins a game .

It's descending, starts at about $14M, ends at about $12M

Vet contracts over three years can be extended up until the new league year, this is an extension not a new deal, unsure about trade eligibility but I think he should be eligiblejayjaysee wrote:Donkedave wrote:jayjaysee wrote:Thought the last day for extension was tied to the regular season not the playoffs?
Meaning this should be a new contract, not an extension and Adams can’t be traded for 6 months?
Shams calling it an extension, with the June 30th deadline makes me feel like I’m wrong on that..
Had a look on spotrac and there’s not many with extension eligible before July 1st.
Vucevic
Naz Reid
Harrison Barnes
Think it has to do with when they extended last contract? E.G lonzo is eligible on 2nd June 27.
Not sure obviously.
I didn’t think contracts could be extended after the last day of the regular season when the contract ends that season* they have his rights so can obviously “extend” / resign him. Just thought he’d be limited to (follow up trade restrictions) as other free agents.
Not that it matters much as I think due to front loading, he got too big a raise to be traded for 6 months anyways? 5% limit
