If I am Indy I would prefer Obi over Washington. Yes Washington is the better defender and probably grades out as the better player but in the Pacers offense and in transition, Obi stretches the defense in ways Washington can not. For me Obi adds an explosiveness offensively that far out weighs what Washington brings defensively.

Oubre takes Obi's role on offense

So After Dallas buys out Knecht and Green, this becomes Washington for Evans and two 2nd rounders? Look, I don't know anything about Evans, but the second rounders don't get us biting. Maybe I under value Evans? I'd. Change Evans and the two 2nds for a 1st, then Idk. Still, Green and Knecht are only salary filler and have zero court value.

An imaginary 1st?

Imaginary means this trade is just imaginary. Dallas says no.

PJ may be a better rebounder but I don't want his contract. He's a role player paid $20 million with raises going up to $24 million. He'd be a bench player for the Pacers a very expensive luxury Toppin is expensive enough.
I wouldn't do this trade. If I'm gonna trade Walker I'm gonna show case him during the season and hope that I can get something worth while for him since the team picked him at #8. Maybe he can give some minutes at sf and pf and how us he's worth something?

agreed. I expect Walker will also get some minutes at SG although if he and Oubre are together on the second unit it won't matter who you call the SG and who you call the SF.
