Addition by subtraction? Chemistry/attitude improvements? Antoine Walker? You can't be serious. The current main attitudes (aka problem children) would still be on the Knicks (Randolph). And then you want them to add Antoine Walker (who is basically Randolph, just a lot less effective on the court) as somehow a justification for addition by subraction and improving attitude/chemistry?

mchale will only help out boston not the knicks

Then he should still be fine with this trade since that condition isn't met with this trade.

Jefferson at PF, although not bad on D, is hardly the stopper that you would need to pair Curry with.

Why does NY do this?

Just because its them!?!?!

Because the thought of an Antoine Walker / Zach Randolph pairing is just too much to resist.

Because Marko Jaric really isn't a big waste of salary.....until he becomes a Knick.

Because Greg Buckner is a defensive specialist.....if he were guarding junior high school players.

Because Stephon Marbury is not only the reason for the Knicks sucking but also why gas prices are so high, the war in the middle east, tension in the Sudan, global warming, Hillary Clinton losing Iowa, my bad back....

Because Eddy Curry has threatened to eat the Knicks lottery pick on draft night.

Oh come on. Its kind of hard to take you seriously after your constant for Knick-homerism, like such gems that Malik Rose $7 mil, two year contract was "relatively mild"

Malik Rose
Salary: $7,101,250 Years Remaining: 2
PTS: 2.0 REB: 2.0 AST: 0.4 PER: -0.95

marbury literally would not play in minnesota. the wolves have already learned that.

It is relatively mild because in a relatively short amount of time he turns into an expiring contract while not making an obscene amount of money unlike Stephon Marbury. Also, while Rose hasn't produced much on the court for us this season its because when Curry or Randolph aren't on the court David Lee is getting the spare minutes. Rose can still play but the Knicks are not in a position where playing a veteran like Rose could help them. It would be much harder to justify the Knicks taking on a mediocre player like Jaric who would only steal minutes away from Collins and Robinson while having 3 full seasons left on his deal after this one.

Actually, he was comparing them to Walker and Buckner, who are more productive, and are also 2 year deals, the same "relatively short amount of time he turns into an expiring contract."

And if a player's contract is mild because it's less than Marbury's, well then, every player in the NBA has a mild contract -- not just Knicks.

Hey don't let my sig make you think that I'm a Knick homer. :D

Seriously though, Rose is hardly mild. But compared to Jaric and Walker it is cause at least Rose gives them something they lack (a guy that actually is willing to play post defense). Walker is basically a much older, much weaker, much less talented Zach Randolph in pretty much every sense so I can't imagine that Walker would get any playing time at all. Jaric is ok...but he's not a natural PG that can energize his team or control the tempo, which is what type of PG the Knicks need. And because of such falacies, the belief that he'd get any time over Marbury, Crawford, Robinson (who has been playing terrific of late) is also pretty darn slim. So in closing, Rose has more value to the Knicks than either Walker or Jaric. He really does. And I do believe of the 3 players the easiest one to move is Malik Rose (been on championship teams, has a lot of playoff experience, plays tough defense, is a good lockkerroom vet and has the smallest contract of the 3).
