I hope PDX doesnt burn Bledsoe in a deal for Thybulle. I still have hopes that deal is used to bring in a salary dump guy like BB from Uath or somethign. TPE and some prospect ideally.

I think Thybulle will net much less than expected. I could see something like Greg Brown, 46 and a future SRP.

Tweets like these just make me shrug. "Slightly higher than 50%" and "more likely" is just such nothingness.

No one’s taking Russell in a trade, unless the Wolves add serious assets, or they are taking back something worse.

This is of course false. Russell isn't anywhere near the worst contract at the league and he's a good basketball player. There would be teams willing to give Minnesota something to turn some of their contracts into Russell for sure.

He's got one year left. People really need to stop keeping the same values on players they had 2 years ago. You wouldn't do that with Wiggins. You shouldn't with Russell either.

Portland: Thybulle & Reed are absorbed into TPE. Portland needs to send out $4.3M in contracts
Keon Johnson ($2.6M) + Bledsoe ($3.9M guaranteed out of $19.3M contract) <-> Green ($9.3M guaranteed out of $10M contract) + Thybulle ($4.4M) + Reed ($1.8M)

Rockets: Houston would have to send out a minimum of $17.5M in contracts
Gordon ($19.5M) <-> Keon Johnson ($2.6M) + Bledsoe ($3.9M guaranteed out of $19.3M contract)
They cut Bledsoe & come away with a $13M of cap savings.

Portland won’t use Bledsoe to get Thybulle, until all other options are explored and I doubt they add Keon to get it done.

That would mean Dame, Grant, and Thybulle will all get new contracts this next year in addition to Ant and Nurk this year.

It’s Portlands last sizeable contract to use to make a bigger splash.

This tells me the Kings are fine drafting at #4 unless it is a home-run deal for them.

Unless the Murray stuff is real and they gamble on moving down and still getting him.

But they definitely should be holding their ground for legit offers. Hard to see what Washington could possibly even offer that would be compelling.

#10+Avdija and future picks would be my thought.
Really hope they don't think Kuzma is a bridge to that pick.

Bledsoe's contract becomes fully-guaranteed July 7th (I think). It's really not a great asset to hold onto.
