Damp squib of a draft day so far. I was under the impression many trades were expected before the draft. Sure didn’t expect the biggest move to still be us trading Grant to Portland.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Some small moves but I think it seems like during draft will be when it happens

I don't think Guantanamo Bay could have gotten me to post that sentence.

It’s possible everyone is waiting for the big domino (whatever happens with the Kings at 4) to fall.

I guess. Still, yeesh.

He's got potential, his playmaking will probably be useful if Magic see Cole/Suggs as a future guard set. But yeah, I wouldn't choose him 1st.

I think Thybulle will net much less than expected. I could see something like Greg Brown, 46 and a future SRP.

I would hate to give up on GB3, especially given the weakness Portland has at the forward positions.

Strong suspicion that Bledsoe gets waived and stretched. You got Dame's contract, Grant, Simons and Nurkić up for new contracts, Hart, etc. - on a team up for sale that is unlikely to pay luxury tax. Take the $1.2m cap hit for 3 years and use the full MLE to bring in the best player available.

Thybulle fits into the Covington TPE. While I suspect Portland would likely have to move down from #7 to acquire him, I'd be fine offering THE MOTHER OF ALL 2nd round picks to get him (46, 57, right to swap 2nd round picks in 2023, UNPROTECTED 2024 2nd, right to swap picks in 2025..)

Hmm. I kinda doubt that impacts who goes top 3. Just the order.

I can't say I remember any other team waffling back and forth this close to the draft like the Magic are doing.
