Appreciate the honesty Wasabi

But, he's based out of Dallas, and basically his argument is "LA and Pelinka can't be THAT dumb....EVERYONE else has to have heard it wrong or assumed wrong!"

In fairness, Griffin isn't talking, and his part hasn't leaked. Maybe the deal wasn't fully reported. Maybe NO agreed to delay until the end of the month. But, as constructed, and if Woj is accurate that the deal is happening July 6, it's real hard to see it any other way than Pelinka got blinded by the goal, and forgot all the steps to get there.

Yup. But still only $54k guaranteed until January. Pretty easy pickup, and able to be waived at any point if need be. He's definitely worth a vet minimum with the work ethic he's developed.

Also now a potential trade ballast.

IN fact, Donnie Walsh used to love sending bad info that he wanted out into papers to Vescey. It got into the papers, Walsh used it to his advantage, and it never happened, or had any basis in reality.

I know Peter Vescey is considered a charlatan, but he was the first person to break that Kevin Love had a meeting discussing his future with Minnesota, a lot of our guys got into it with him, and like five months later is turned out Vescey was right and Darren Wolfson looked like a moron. The dude has some connections for sure.

Maybe, but he's been so far wrong so many times that it seems more like the case of a pig finding a truffle amongst the....poop.

And, he has connections for sure. I think he's just generally more of a guy that funnels anything into publication that a team wants him to write. I think he lacks understanding of what is real, and likely, and rather when he's being used.

Golden State could be anything in 2024, but I have that as still a great trade for them and very so so for Atlanta.

I actually think it is a terrific trade for Atlanta. Get a long-term minor asset and 1.7MM in exchange for your fifth best pick in the Draft; seems pretty much ideal.

Tweet says 1.3m.

I get that they wanted to push the pick forward, but they basically just got to only push half of its value forward, and took the second half the value in cash.

A pick before 45, I want more future value, even at the cost of less cash. Especially after the GM makes public statements about not selling the 2nds.

Don't think you could convince anybody here that either player is worth 4th pick. But NO did say they was looking for a young player plus a vet for the pick.

Myles Turner seems like the closest valued stretch big to the 4.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

Would take more and I don't see the Pacers really being interested, but I agree.
