Would the Clippers trade a 2027 pick swap & 2028 pick to OKC for their own 2022 pick
Then they could punt on the rest of the season.
OKC would be giving up a chance at great pick but I think it's a very small possibility

It probably will have to be revisited at the trade deadline to see how the west has changed.
Ie is clippers still likely to make the play in then.
I would probably try to ask for the LAC second in 2022 as well a pick within 30-40 in exchange for giving up a pick that’s likely to be between 11-20 right now but should be 5-10 minimum if LAC tanks .
No way I would consider this. This is bad for OKC for two reasons:
1. we need to draft talent and we have enough future picks
2. It gives the Clippers a chance to improve their roster for the future (developing a decent prospect or trading a top 15 pick for value later) which huts our future picks in 2024-2026. LAC already doing a terrific job btw at drating and developing young prospects.

Simply makes more sense for the Nets to trade him than waive him since even if they have to send cash to cover his remaining salary to trade him(I don't think they will) they still profit a good bit on the exchange. And some team should still want him even in this diminished form. Good locker room guy.
