doesnt seem to move needle for miami.. should use rozier as matching for a more impactful pg if they want to make playoffs next year

definitely don’t think Marcus Smart is a needle mover anymore and don’t think seconds move many needles.

But he is an upgrade and the 5 million does make it that much easier to duck the tax for one year.

Which guard could Miami target that would be a bigger upgrade?would Vassell fit in?RJ Barrett?..

they shoudnlt have listened to him in the first place in trading for Dame. Holidays defense was more important and Dame's health hasn't helped.

another example of why star players should stick to playing

Charlotte should really hang onto Mark Williams, he's getting his defensive mojo back and they aren't getting anything interesting in return with the questions about his health

Let's say Dame doesn't play again this season but is medically cleared this offseason. What type of return might he fetch?

I still highly doubt Giannis asks out. He's too prideful.

Did Donovan Clingan and Zach Edey end up on the correct teams?

Or, would Zach Edey be a better fit with Portland where he could show off more of his offensive skills and develop as the focal point/ centerpiece of a team? Would Donovan Clingan have been more of a seamless fit in Memphis as a younger, bigger, taller version of Steven Adams.

Probably around the Butler return. Maybe slightly more?

I wanted Edey for POR.

DC is a fine player though.

Seems reasonable, would be curious to see what that might look like. Might not be viable, but taking on bad money and guys on rookie contracts and/or picks might be the play.

Not a great situation Horst has assembled here.

I still don’t expect a Milwaukee rebuild* similar to Dallas currently (except better).. a short rebuild won’t set them up to be better than their current roster. So just keep pushing IMO.

But it’s realgm.. I know it’s less likely. Assuming Dame is alright (hopefully he is and this clears up quickly) .. Miami should still be interested I think?

Their pick debt is rolling over so should want to get better. Bam is still there and the weather is still nice so Dame is probably still good going there. They have the GSW first from the Butler trade. Have a lot of expirings next season.

Denver should really look at Murray for Dame imo.

Phoenix probably offers their two low value firsts and Beal? Eh.

NOP will obviously be more rumored with Giannis than Dame but for fun.. CJM, DJM, 2026 Milwaukee swap for Dame.

I've read the opposite... I'd say that Charlotte's front office is planning another mediocre season... then they'll say that Lamelo is a losing player, but man, the environment and ambition could be better.
