Dumping a lottery pick after one injury-plagued year to sign a well past his prime Russ to a vet min deal would be the quintessential Kangz move

It is just so frustrating how through two ownership groups in a row they've just destroyed every opportunity they've had to be reasonably good. They had one feel good season where it felt like they might have the foundation of a serious NBA organization, then they fired Mike Brown and decided that Zach LaVine was a good enough replacement for Fox to contend for the playoffs. Their only hope is falling ass backwards into the right first pick.

Did they waive Carter? Didn't they pick up his option yesterday?

I thought they were at capacity but it looks like they only have 14 guaranteed. So no need for another move.

I am actually not sure what took so long. Did they get an injury exception for Murray, perhaps?

Brooks actually looks good enough to get spot regular season minutes in a pinch.

Dieng simply hasnt reached that point yet after like 3 years in the league.

They should dump Dieng and get Brooks on the roster b/c the latter is more likely to be a decent spot minutes guy THIS year - despite one being a rookie and the other being a lotto pick going into Y4.

I’d still like to see OKC turn Kenrich and Dieng into a 4.5 type.. Jalen Smith for the Bulls.. and then replace Kenrich with Brooks..

I would happily send a 2nd to take Dieng into cap space. We can release Svi to make it happen.

Just random bad ideas but..

Carter and Saric for Kenrich and Dieng?

Sac gets two forwards.

Presti should waste a second (and cash) to dump Dario on some third team to preserve the tax space in case of some bigger deal later on.. But technically could just buy Dario out and sign Brooks.

OKC doesn’t need another defensive guard, but if Carter gets right and his shot forms back, Presti will be able to flip him next offseason.

Malcolm Brogdon retiring 2 years after winning 6th Man of the Year is a bit shocking. Only 32 years old. Maybe he just wasn't feeling it anymore?

His body is completely cooked, basically swiss cheese at this point. Honestly makes sense for him to live his life, rather than barely scraping by for minimum salary contracts and breaking down further.

Yeah that makes sense. He's made more than enough money to live comfortably for the rest of his life, no reason to damage his body further chasing vet min deals.

That is a lot for Murray’s track record so far. The question is how he projects. I still think it’s a lot.
