Spencer to NY right?
Or to GS? Warriors were hoping for Malcom so seems to make sense?
I doubt it, but could Houston two-way him to get around the apron, just til they can dump one of their vet mins and then convert it? No?

dont believe he's eligible for 2-way. Also not sure how the Knicks apron situation is, but I guess if they let everyone else go, they have room?
Mavs fans who hate him, glad Mavs have no wiggle room, but he was a better bet than Exum. They forgot the first rule about hurt guys--they get hurt.

Yeah, figured there was a rule on eligibility that I wasn’t looking up. And there is - 3 years. Oh well.
And agree on Dallas.

Pat Spencer? He signed a two-way with us a couple weeks ago [EDIT: you're probably talking about Spencer Dinwiddie lol]

Dinwiddie. Charlotte waived him today

Yeah that makes more sense. We're at 15 and right up against the apron so I doubt we make a play for him.

Dinwiddie makes sense for Houston, after trading Brooks and Green, and VanVleet getting injured, the Rockets are running really short of players who shoot 39% from the field most of the time.
investigate Adam Silver

they can't afford him without trading someone else midseason

Signing Dinwiddie was weird, waiving him b4 the season started is weirder.

Probably as rookie a question as suggesting he is eligible for a two-way.. But if Okogie or Tate take a really friendly buyout?
No idea.
No idea.

AJ Green for 45/4, AAV is fine, but role players shoildn't be getting 4 years deals under this CBA, keep your flexibility...

I wouldn’t be afraid of locking up Green at that amount. Really like it for Milwaukee. He’s a good defensive guard with good range, that’s easily worth that money through his prime.
I’m sure Milwaukee wants to keep him long term - but they also need to create as much trade eligible salary as possible for next offseason (assuming there’s no big deal coming this season)

+1 to all of this. $11.25M AAV is well under the MLE, that's fine for a rotation guy.

I think there's a reasonable enough chance he outperforms this number, and if not, he should still be tradeable.

Had a (probably bad) thought today, would a trade with Lauri going to Spurs, Fox going to Heat, and Ware/Rozier/Picks to Utah make any sense?

Think Miami would be better off with Lauri than Fox if they’re building around Herro/Bam.
No idea what a reasonable offer would be there though.
Utah might be the team that bails SAS out of Fox’s deal next summer if Castle/Harper develop..

I don't see the Heat giving up Ware for Fox even without picks attached.

Not that the Jazz has any lead guards who are or project to be better than Fox, but I hope that this is not in their plans.

Thanks for the feedback! I wonder if the bones (Lauri to SAS, Fox to team X, picks/salary to UTA) has any legs.

Don’t necessarily disagree it’s a bad idea. I think if Lauri is still there? And Utah has better lottery luck next summer and adds a second potential star..
No idea if they actually would though. Just Kessler/Lauri/Fox and a stack of rookie contracts with varying potential.. Seems affordable and a good environment for Bailey/2026 first to develop in..
