Au contraire. We've been told on this board for at least a year he has a near max extension already agreed to and this is just fake injury news to protect him for when Utah really wants him to help them win. He will still get his money. This has been assured.

Who has been saying this? Can we get an update from them?

He's itt. His new position is the two sides hate each other and always have. None of it is serious and I thought my sarcasm was clear enough. Guess not lol.

TBF, his position has always been that Kessler and the organization hate each other.

The 76ers, Astros, Cavs, and Cubs, Sabres, Heck, even the 1984 Rockets would all like a word. It was tanking, but let's not pretend this isn't a tried-and-true strategy used by all leagues that employ a draft defined by your regular-season record.

These teams traded away their good players or had real injuries. Kessler getting 7 DNPs is without precedent.

Nerlens Noel, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Kristaps Porzingis, and Ralph Sampson would all also like a word. And those are just the young / healthy centers.

What are you talking about with any of these examples?

I can't parse any of this. Nerlens Noel... Had an ACL tear? Big Z was generally very injury-prone, but played 81 games in the LeBron tank year. Ralph Sampson had... a career altering back injury the year they got Hakeem?

7 "DNP-Rests" for a 23 year old center trying to earn a big contract extension was a joke.

The Jazz should have just traded Kessler instead of trying to tank with him.

Sam Hinkie The Process remains peerless.

The Warriors in 2012 were pretty shameless with their tanking in the end. It happens. The Jazz have absolutely nothing to apologize for.

Would Chicago have any interest in Nurkic for Collins? Solid rebounding backing up Vuc and a decent playmaker at the center position.

Noel sat 10 games as a healthy scratch his "rookie" season as they were tanking, including the last three. Sampson's back injury was in 1986, not 1984. He started games, but when he went from averaging near 40 minutes a game to around 20 the last 17 games, when they went 3-14 to finish the season. (team executives made the decision to 'play for the draft'). Z is my bad, I had that one wrong, my memory failed me on that one.

saw my first live Cooper Flagg game tonight. Team sucks so bad, but I came away with greater appreciation for him at least.

Watching the Spurs perfect game plan for Luka tonight, it came up short, because he's still Luka **** Doncic, but it was as close as it gets, reminds me of less talked about transaction and loss for the Mavs, Sean Sweeney is a good defensive coordinator, he is and will be missed.

So how is post-Luka going? In his 2nd year, the little Mavs had the most efficient offense of all-time(since been bettered many times). Currently they have the least efficient offense relative to the league since this data has been tracked. Small sample size and all, but pre-Kyrie nobody should be under any illusions this is going to greatly improve.

From conference champs to worst team in the conference in 18 months. With no control over picks for 4 years. What a masterclass

Ball for Garland works $ wise, I think I would regret the trade as Ball really could be great if he stayed healthy, but I am scared that won't happen.

Would Cleveland consider it? What enticements would they need.

Would a Miles/Hunter swap be worth considering for Cavs. Health wise Miles is very reliable and works his ass off on the court. He just shouldn't be a number 2.

I trust Garland to level up as a defender more than I trust Ball to start making good decisions AND level up as a defender. Lonzo is already driving me a little nuts.

Hunter is probably the better player and definitely doesn’t have Bridges’ history.

So Ja is getting traded right?

I'm wondering who would go for him?

HOU is the ideal fit.

He needs a KD vet legend to lift him and mentor him.

I'm not Ja's ego would fit well there, he want's his own to much.

I think Pelicans and Kings

He would quit on the Kings.

Pels don’t have the assets unless Grizz want to tank with Fears.

Ja needs a strong coach and elite vet that he will listen to.
