The Orlando Magic are attempting to move into the lottery by offering Aaron Gordon and the No. 15 overall pick.

The Magic are believed to be targeting a guard in the lottery.

Gordon signed a four-year, $76 million contract in 2018. The Magic were reportedly trying to trade Gordon ahead of the deadline with the Golden State Warriors one of the teams that had interest.

It all depends on if we’re also dealing some like Oladipo as that Hayward deal setup would put us precariously close to the tax and destined to go over the line. I think we’d be $3.1m under the tax with 3-4 roster spots to fill.

Yeah there is so much smoke this time of year... hang in there. I would take this to heart... Recently the Mavs seem to be making solid deals with a clear vision... Hard for me to see how this would fit into that pattern of behavior.

Now, if they were to try and pull off a Dipo trade... I think gambling on a contract year with him for less makes much more sense.

And if they do it, I now have sources and credibility! 1 make in 20 thrown out hypotheticals can be pointed to whenever you want. And besides most trades don't happen. So if I say that Toronto had internal discussions on a FVV for Jrue deal, don't hate me just because it didn't happen.

I do think its over the top but don't think Gordon and 15 gets it done either. Maybe a 2022 top 5 protected pick. I don't see the Hawks moving 6 for anything less than a starter. If they do, it would have to include sweetener like a future pick.

I don't see Gordon as a good starting small forward for a few reasons; number one being he can't shoot. He is not starting over Collins.
