Nah, Francis was a much better scorer and shooter and operated well in the half court.

His best couple years (2002/2003) he was only averaging about 21ppg on 42% shooting. And he was averaging 6 assists against 4 turnovers. Also, like Wall he primarily was considered good because of hype. In his case that came courtesy of playing next to Yao Ming: he did make 3 all-star games but only by being voted in, with those not-coincidentally being Yao's first 3 years; and despite being an all-star starter he never made a single all-NBA team. Oh, and he played a grand total of 5 playoff games in his life -- which sounds about what Wall is headed for.

Don't mock the hype train.
Whether production is high or low, the hype train always sells a lot of tickets.
