I say play all three wings in the starting lineup. Alec was Colorado's point guard in college, and wasn't awful when he played point for us in the past. The problem was is that he wasn't given time to transition into that role. I think that all the time he spent in the offseason watching game tape will be valuable for him. We will see. I like the idea of three wings that can all initiate the offense, run the pick and role and shoot around 40% from 3. Just seems like a dangerous combo and stylistically, a lot more similar to having Dante in the lineup. It would certainly make teams consider how to defend a team whose shortest starter was 6-6.

We've seen Burks as the starting PG before. It wasn't effective. He can't create for others, and when he's running the point he doesn't create for himself. It's a poor utilization of his abilities.

I think we're going to have to live and die with Trey. Sadly.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Trey also can't create for others or himself. Alec also did it under the tutelage of Corbin, and I don't know that there is a worse situation for a young player.

Since this is on the front page again, I'll say again...

Get a real PG, you dummies! You're not a top 6 WC team this year, but so what? Your young, talented squad needs to continue to grow and gain confidence, and you're not going to do that with Trey Freaking Burke as your point guard. Get it done already. There are plenty of reasonable options out there available for less than a 1st round pick.
